Okay, so we've got five Rangers, three apprentices, and one apprentice warrior. We're going to go ahead and close it down, saving a spot for IsebellaLynnette since she's the one who first suggested making this. :D

Go ahead and figure out who your master is if you haven't; I'll go with Day since our characters are both trackers.

I'll be posting the first introductory post soon!

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the series. What do we know about the cultures of each of these countries?

Basically, all the countries in the RA series are based off of our real life countries--Araluen is England, Gallica is France, etc.

In Araluen, it's very similar to medieval England was with feudalism, castles, knights, etc.

Gallica is, in the series, ruled by a very weak and ineffective king, and the warlords of Gallica are able to pretty much terrorize their own corner of the country. For our purposes, I've chosen Gallica to be the place where the warlord is rising up and gathering people from the rundown fiefs and villages dotting the countryside. They speak French there, so that's something to keep in mind when we write (I know some French, which might come in handy haha).

Does that answer your question, hopefully?

You should consider reading them because they really are amazing.

1. What is going to be in the woods? I didn't really think we would encounter anything this early.

2. As for plot once we set off on the ship I was thinking that possibly a group of people could be there to "welcome" us. Possibly the local lord and his soldiers

I think it would be more interesting if they find nothing at all. Give them that sense of being hunted, without any of the fighting.

I could say that I didn't really see anything, just noticed where the disturbance came from.

This is awkward because I thought you got it from the book. At the beginning when they are at the Ranger meet. A newly initiated ranger is named Skinner.

But yeah, it's a different Skinner. :)
