Sorry for the double post BUT Elinor and I didn't want to make any big plans without everyone there (or at least just the two of us), so we left it off at maybe collabing on the first post. One thing we did decide, though, is that every post will have a word count at the end to make it easier to count at the end of each week. :)
Also, we need to decide the perspective of the first post. Is it everyone's perspective? One person's perspective? General third-person?
Gosh I'm so sorry for missing out!! I was caught up in doing homework and I totally missed the whole thing. And I was the one to suggest the time. Gah I feel so bad. Anyways.
Totally agree on the word count aspect! That'll definitely take off the burden of tallying at the end of each week.
I'm still a little unsure about what we're going to be including in the first post, so I think the perspective goes along with that. Depending on the content, it could change. I'm leaning more towards a general third person if we're simply setting the scene, or we could maybe do a normal day in the life of each character before they end up all together at the speakeasy, in which case it would be easiest to do one person's perspective.
I have school next week except a half day Thursday and an off day Friday, but I know those would be too late. 5-6 or 9-10 Monday night work for me, though, and maybe the same times on Tuesday!
I´m sorry guys that I had to go, but I probably hadn´t done a lot or something productive. :/
So, from what I read there and here,
- we should have a date to write the first post. (what are we going to include? Are we only going to include a bit of atmosphere without our characters, but some No-name NPCs, where we show how one can get to the Golden Vanderbilt? Couldn´t that someone do alone and we agree on it? Or should we first have a structure (like view of Illinois, Chicago to the GV, with a bit of description of the fun there, etc...) => is this post also going to count towards the goal of 2.500 words/week?) - perspective -> I´m going to write in third-person, maybe putting also some thoughts in it to give an insight into Sophie in certain scenes. - Word count at the end of each post sounds good! (We do have to submit the word count somewhere -> I guess the captain does that.) - after this first post, everybody would describe a bit of their first day before ending up at the speakeasy? (Like Friday, and then we all decide to return on Monday when the murder happen? => so are we going to meet already on Friday or only on Monday, and the first post in the GV is also from everyone´s own perspective?) - I´m at work next week until Wednesday so I have to get up at 5 am. On Monday and Tuesday, I can only be active from 8 - 10 pm CET (which would probably be around noon for you all)
