Hey there @Basil! I have deleted your post in the SB (I tried moving it to the DT but weird things happened whoops) but I have a question! Would you like to join this ship as a Privateer or a Pirate?

Hey @Vincian thank you for deleting my post!! I didn't give me the option an I got confuused. I would like the join this ship as a privateer. Pirate doesn't fit my character idea sadly haha.
Dorian, are you the one adding all the spices to our food?
Of course I am.
Why?
Because frankly the food here tastes like poorly cooked sawdust. It genuinely tastes how Solas looks.

@kairamorgan how draconic looking are the dragonkin? Does it vary from family to family or are they fully draconic looking with humanoid figures?

It definitely varies between family to family. A typical dragonkin will have the scales in concentrated in places like the forehead, cheekbones, neck, forearms, stomach and so forth but not covered completely, but there are less scaly dragonkin who have only one or two patches of thin scales and there are dragonkin who are covered from head to toe.

This is the character I came up with! Hopefully, it'll give a good idea as to how it works :) Do bear in mind though that I go very overboard so there is no obligation to write a small essay on your character (though feel free to if you want to)!

Name: Emmeline Wells
Age: 34
Gender: Female
Race: Centaur

Appearance: Emmeline is a fairly tall centaur with tanned, scruffy black shoulder-length hair on both her head and her equine, shire-like torso. Her eyes are a grey-blue and fairly large on her round face, something that doesn't quite match with her pointed fey ears. Brown wraps adorn her four legs while on her torso, a scruffy beige tunic with a cross-body belt hangs loosely. Many potions of different shapes and sizes are strapped to said belt, along with a number of first aid supplies, though most are hidden by a large brown trench coat which hangs down by her front legs.
Her other supplies are contained in a saddle pack which contains everything from dried herbs to animal teeth to a jagged iron shortsword. Emmeline also has two necklaces, one is a rope necklace with a sharp tooth on the end whilst the other is a silver necklace with a red gem contained in a tight cage.

Profession: Emmeline works as an apothecary in a small town, specialising in healing and correctional remedy and often working with herbal magic contained in the plants of Idenor.

Personality: The best way to describe Emmeline is nature/book smart, not street smart and this is something she is fully aware of. When it comes to the natural world, the most likely person to know will be Emmeline, though she is unlikely to say this since she wouldn't have the foggiest idea as to when to interject herself into a conversation, how to navigate a city or why walking down a dark alleyway at night is a bad idea.
This is not to say that she doesn't see the danger in things - in fact, Emmeline sees much danger in things she doesn't know well, whether that be people, locations or objects she doesn't recognise. After all, there is a difference between knowing something is a bad plan and being afraid of everything.
However, the amount Emmeline fears is only outdone by her desire to help others, or else she'd never leave her house. Within a heartbeat she would jump in front of a carriage to save others and has been known to help hunt down beasts that have threatened her village and claim no reward for it.
One noteworthy thing, however, is that Emmeline is very wary of other fey and despite being one, has never seen another centaur in her life therefore is very unaware of their culture.

Fears: There are many things that Emmeline is afraid of as a jittery person but the thing she fears most is having to answer for her mistakes.

Magic: No magic other than that which is contained in the herbs.

Backstory: The phrase 'only centaur in the village' is a fairly common one, but usually isn't literal since most have parents to look after them. This wasn't the case for Emmeline, who was genuinely the only centaur in the small landlocked town of Oskirn when she was dumped outside the home of Amilia and Jonathan Wells.
Though not her biological parents, Amilia and Jonathan were a very loving family, treating her just like one, though they did have to make many adjustments for her large frame. Thankfully Jonathan was a carpenter, so it wasn't too much of an issue modifying the tables and chairs by a few feet.
Despite being somewhat stared at by locals for being taller than any person had a right to be, in their view, the young centaur got on well with people in her own socially awkward way in no small part due to the help she provided in the apothecary with her mother, which she eventually took over herself. Most of her days were made up of going and finding herbs and ingredients, some of which required hunting animals, but mostly consisted of picking flowers, but upon taking over Well's Apothecary, she interacted with more people and was known in her town as an accomplished, if slightly odd, healer.
Though she is the only centaur in the town, Emmeline is not the only Fey in the village but this is more of a curse than a blessing. The very few fey that lived in Oskirn were wary of her, being aware that she was raised by humans and could be conspiring against them, something that has driven Emmeline from speaking to many fey. After all, if they don't think they can trust her, how can she trust them?
Life was very calm for her, and the first real event in Emmeline's life was hearing the Wildes' Call, which scared her beyond all belief. In her eyes, the Fey are not as much her people as those of her village are, thus the Call was terrifying to her. But, receiving the letter, Emmeline got her now-ageing mother to take back over the apothecary for a while whilst she goes to get her head sorted out.

Other: Though Emmeline has no overall goal other than to discover what the Call is and how to make it stop, she does have one secret. Many in her village know Emmeline as a healer, but she has also been known to deal in poisons, something incredibly illegal and she usually keeps the supplies for such a venture in her bag, just in case of a rainy day.
One such illegal venture earned Emmeline the necklace with the red gem in it, something the client, Ingrid, told her to crush only if she wishes to obtain power over life and death. She has no intention of using it, but something in her just wants to keep it on her so it doesn't fall into anyone else's hands.

tl;dr - Emmeline is an incredibly tall and tanned centaur with black wearing slightly rustic and dishevelled clothes, carrying many potions and potion-making supplies along with an old shortsword. She's a nervous and sheltered character who fears being judged by others but is nonetheless kind-hearted and a well-accomplished healer who knows much of the natural world and its remedies, though she is somewhat distrustful and cold to her fellow fey.

@Vincian Only 2250 words a week? I try to always have a minimum of 1000 words when writing my chapters, so I feel comfortable with the extra 1500 words!! (edit: uhm so, I am also a little daft. I didn't realise this was for something outside of the SB. I will still like to continue as a privateer, and I've since read the requirements so I'm less ignorant now)

@kairamorgan oooh okay thank you so much! I was going to draw Ava if that's allowed? (Nothing lewd I promise)
