Also, hi! I can't promise that I'll be especially active here right now, but I wanted to pop in and throw a post in the DT to keep it going. I can't wait to see the other posts when they come out, and I also can't wait to get to know the characters in this a little better!
Working on that post rn I swear (so sorry for the delays, I've been sorting out a move)'
but unnnnrelated, I was wondering
Are we doing secret identities? Or are these kids just gon be like "Hey Mrs Stuart can I retake that test pls? I had to fight a radioactive monkey yesterday- you saw that on the news right?"

It would be really fun to have the characters try to come up with excuses, but I’d love to have everyone know they’re heroes, so the teachers could be more exasperated with them having to fight radioactive monkies!
There is always something left to love. - One Hundred Years of Solitude
Hilariously enough, their regular identities kind of are like secret identities when you think about it - because they have other lives that came before their current ones.
Idea: at the beginning they try the secret identity thing but they get exposed or accidentally expose themselves after like 1 week in some silly way and then they're like 'oh well'

Also seconded @SirenCymbaline we should have them make some ridiculous excuses for some time...so we can laugh at that...then have them exposed for more laughs...and then have more laughs as they cope with that...
Stay Safe The Princess of Darkness
Hello! You? Yes you reading this. Have a nice day because you're wonderful and you deserve it!
Alternatively, they make the ridiculous excuses and think that they work, but everyone else in Hickory Grove knows the truth - and just kind of go along with it. Nathan overhears the conversation one time and tries telling Jane and the others, but there's always some kind of perfectly timed distraction so he never can.
