so they're in a cave with everything falling apart and lykos just admitted to knowing dark magic and kaz is trying to pretend he doesn't have a bullet wound
BUT NAH LET'S WORRY BOUT ELIAS, the same boy who thought he was gonna fly and head towards the sauna steam
he's totally fine and he knows that but of course he had to agree to a head check up because he still wants that massage
also i may or may not have used google translator to pronounce the russian retort lol
he's totally fine and he knows that but of course he had to agree to a head check up because he still wants that massage
It's what he deserves.
But I do love how that's what they're focusing on, too!
(I totally expect at least one character to completely misinterpret what Lykos meant when he described his magic, but it's not really dark magic - it's darkness magic, so all he can really do is play around with shadows. Darkness is one of the elemental kinds of magic people can have in my fictional universe; it's actually really chill, if you don't already have misconceptions about it. )
for lykos is just. literally keeping everyone from being crushed annabeth tries to check in on kaz and kaz just. doesn't even pick up on her quiet "are u okay" signals because he's got no brain cells elias is out here TRYING TO GET A MASSAGE in the middle of an EARTHQUAKE
amazing fantastic wonderful
also i totally thought my reply would be uh shorter didn't end up that way lol
what if the danger is like, a monster that keeps appearing in all of their scenes? like one common enemy that pops up?? IDK JUST AN IDEA I SUDDENLY HAD
i think it'd be interesting if the monster manifests from negative emotions pertaining to each character, i.e. insecurities, fears, phobias, bad memories etc..... like a faceless demon or monster's inc lol but not a toddler tryna go to sleep at night
and then the only way to "leave" the place would be to get over those negative things, and ofc the rest of the group will support them and learn all about the world they're in
IDK
JUST THinKING OUT LOUD FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENt since the alternative would be action scenes in different settings ya feel
I love the idea of having a monster showing up in the scenes! It adds a more physical element to their places, and I think it would be fun seeing how it manifests for everyone.
But what if the monster changes depending on the place? Like it's always faceless, but it can change to be different people or things? Because if we go that route, I think I know exactly what to do for Lykos.
Also we should totally yeet them into their first scene soon.
