Heads up for everyone! Maggie will not be participating in the hunting of 'monsters' and may, in fact, get a little testy about it if questioned. They're actually highkey offended at Annabeth's entire existence right now.
I still have absolutely no idea what Maggie's secret is, but I love how Annabeth's turn in the mist is probably going to perfectly lead into Maggie's. c:
Also, posted! Let's just pretend that Hades was really confused and that I wasn't, uh, so overwhelmed with school that I fell behind a bit. >> Also, Hades is 100% going to treat the monster attacking the livestock like it's a random wild animal (maybe like a wolf??) that got pushed out of its territory by human activity until proven otherwise.
is it realistic for a guy in ancient greece to be environmentally savvy? i have no idea, but hades is a good boi and i like writing him as if he's really in tune with the natural world
I have come to the realization that if they actually get in a situation where they are in immediate physical danger, like fighting a 'monster', Maggie's secret might just be revealed.
Also I'm crossing my fingers that the monster isn't like...seriously bad. Like it's dangerous, but in the way that something like a hungry wolf or a bear would be. I'm really curious to see how this is going to be a challenge for Annabeth, and I wouldn't be too surprised if her little character arc was something involving that.
or this is an absolutely terrifying monster and her arc is feeling more confident about her monster hunting abilities
We'll have to make sure Hades is preoccupied if it comes down to a fight, or else he might cut it short by just stabbing it with a burst of darkness or something.
