hiiiiiiii, soooooo

I have an outline of a post ready! @soundofmind @Wolfi lemme know what you think

(the rest of yall, dont look, its confidential :3 )

Spoiler! :
Outline
pick up where they left off
corden just convinced Gena to be his new informant, in exchange for the both of them to survive this. So, Gena gets to be apart of the escape plan. That post ends with Gena punching Corden. They have 30 hours to get this done, together, or they're all probably dead.
Corden gets escorted back to his cell
Gena's prosthetic arm proved enough to bruise him up a bit
He had little time to actually get everything done.
When they arrive back at the cell, the other inmates are gone
Note: we gotta figure out when this is happening compared to the other "plan" XD
Corden says it doesn't matter where they went right now, that's not their problem
Corden makes sure the other guards aren't there, then tells Gena about Isolde, his previous contact.
He tells her she needs to check the manifest logs to see if there's anything out of the ordinary.
Go through the medical records, see the attending physicions had any interactions with Isolde or questionable spaces in their logs.
Why physicians?
That's who Corden would go through, and can often point to holes in classified intel.
Corden's mind is running so fast he can barely keep up with it.
Who would want the power of a kir-ik. Well, everyone, but who would go through these depths to get this done
Who would have the information to know about a kir-ik onboard
He would need access to outside logs
He tells Gena he needs to go to a solitary place to work.
Gena's like "I'm not the only guard who patrols here, someone's gonna know you're gone"
Corden smiles: he has an answer of course.
Corden offers up his arm. On his forearm just below his palm, where veins usually are, a slot opens up on his skin and he pulls out a cord.
Gena is hesitant.
Corden said he just needs to upload the product number to her so she can find out where it is.
Finally, she agrees to be connected
While connected, Corden submits the product number to her but also downloads a map of the complex and all of Gena's personal and professional information available.
He disconnects and smiles. "Found where it's located?"
Gena says yes but is concerned. "Before we go, what is it."
Corden's like "you'll see when we go get it"
Gena: "don't forget, you're still a prisoner aboard this ship"
Corden: "okay okay, fine. It's a backup plan, in case everything went to crap while I was aboard this prison."
Gena is clear that this answer doesn't work for her but eventually relents
They go to the storage locker
There is an unmarked case deep in the storage. Gena goes over the records. She's like "this has been here longer than you have" and there are notes that the case cannot be opened by security.
Corden's like: I come prepared. Never go into a risky (or risque) situation without protection
Gena: how many people did you pay off to get this into the prison?
Corden: how many people are on this ship again?
Corden: opens up another compartment on his arm and types in a password. The case hisses open, revealing a cryo chamber, which also hisses open. A body unfolds and, through the light of the cryo chamber, it's revealed to be a complete copy of Corden, absolutely naked.
Gena freaks out a bit, instinctively covers her eyes? Corden grabbed onto Copy!Corden and led him out of the cryo chamber.
Gena: what is this?
Corden: this is my backup. In case this body ever gets damaged beyond repair, this copy is programmed to automatically download a copy of my conscious and send a kill code to any other copies that might be around.
Gena: unsure of how much she would know about this technology so would need wolfi's help here
Corden: connects himself to the copy and closes his eyes.
Corden: he speaks while he's doing this. "It's a very coveted and exclusive type of service and technology. Only the most elite of the most elite can even afford this, let alone know how to even start. The concept of digital mind is a tricky one ethically and scientifically. Technically, it is impossible to hold and keep a mind in a digital storage, but a body can naturally keep a brain just active enough to allow someone to transfer their consciousness if need be. Of course, only one body can use the same consciousness at a time, so even if Corden wanted to, he wouldn't be able to have more than one of him around. The digital minds are all on the same quantum network so having the same mind twice would cause some quantum issues.
But, Corden can transfer a bit of his impulses to this copy so that it's at least something so he doesn't look like he's missing from his cell.
We need some clothes.
time skip, the clone is in the cell. the others are not in their cells just yet. we can ignore that for now.
Corden's like "okay, I need a place to be alone and have access to the prison systems."
Gena's like "I can get you one or the other. Any system access point is heavily monitored."
Corden's like.... hmmmm okay, I'll see what i have to work with. What solitary place are you thinking of
Gena: smiles -- it's the SHU

if this looks good, I can get to writing soon! @Wolfi I think I'll write out first and then reach out to you about collabing after, what do you think?
