Hello there! If we haven't met before, I'm Mage.

This storybook was heavily inspired by a fanfiction idea of mine, but I decided to make it more of an original work after realizing how fun the story was. As mentioned in the first post, the basic concept of the storybook is that our characters died and found themselves on the world of Arium. Right now they're currently in the desert near or in an abandoned temple, but there's a lot they can explore in the rest of the world.

Regarding making characters, I'm basically down for anything! You can have your character come from any point in human history from any place, and every character is allowed one special kind of power. In the fanfiction this was inspired by, one member of the cast could possess people, another could turn himself into a shadowy monster, and the third could simulate what happens when a ghost appears. It's really up to you to pick what you think works best for your character – or what you think will be the most fun!

Before we start posting in the main thread, we'll work on creating characters. Feel free to delete anything in the parentheses; those are just there to guide you.

If you're new to storybooking, I'll be glad to help you out! If you're not, feel free to go and make your character using the character profile posted in the spoiler down below. All you have to do is copy-and-paste the code into one of these, and fill in the rest.

Welcome to the storybook, @fraey! We're happy to have you.

I apologize for the second post in a row, but I got a lot of work done for this storybook while I was camping yesterday. My character profile is up, as well as the first post and challenge!

The challenge explains some of it, but the main goal for this first round of posts is to define your character and their death. I think we could also try to have some characters meet up near the old temple in the distance, but it's really up to whatever you guys want.

Right now, it's just the three of us listed on the challenge, but I'll add anyone else who joins the storybook when they do.

Alright, I got my CP submitted and will be working on a post hopefully later today! I just need to check out that challenge post XD

Hilde's CP looks great, @fraey! I love her power, and it sounds like she had quite the traumatic death - it'll be fun seeing her deal with both of them in your posts.

@Dilbert64, Howard looks great, by the way! I love how we have someone who isn't from the present day nkw; it's going to be a lot of fun dealing with miscommunication between him and the others from the present thanks to different cultures.
