I have gotten permission to do this with our Storybook creator and they suggested I bring this up with the group and see what you think is too far or if it is fine.
During one of the times that we are endangered, likely in one of the flying castles, Maolan is going to be injured in a way that his left arm is going to lame (paralyzed and otherwise unusable). This is going to devastate him as it hits his fear of losing his ability to do what he loves.
We have had agreed that after a depression with the character, he will receive a mechanical arm that is magically enchanted, having compartments and exchangeable parts and the like.
There are a couple of scenes that I am not sure about with the PG-13 rating and it was suggested I speak with everyone here about it. During the depression he has I thought about him contemplating suicide by jumping from the air ship before someone stops him. I also had in mind a "removing of the old arm to place the new arm" scene which might be a bit darker than the rest of the storybook.
@hiraeth unfortunately I don't think I'll have my character until July 2 probably. I'll see if I can get free time to work on it in a bit, but my attention is being placed elsewhere at the moment.
Another question to ask it how long have our respective parties been "sailing" together? I'm not sure about other characters, but for Maolan the more familiar he is with someone the more open he is. Though he will still be a little awkward with the fact that as of right now he is the only male on the Sky Scraper. XD
Oh, good thing this was brought up, because I totally forgot about the rating and I tend to write both some relatively dark and some mental-health-related stuff myself (but don’t worry, I won’t go too far). Goes without saying, I’m also fine with reading it.
