Background
Your character was invited to join a roleplay called Aeyis, named after the world it was set in. The prerequisite was that they had roleplayed online at some point in the past.
The organizer of this roleplay was a man named Keith. Upon seeing their talent, Keith reached out to them and asked them to join his new website. There were nine roleplayers in total. He let them create any sort of character they wanted to; as long as they could be harmed, he was alright with their creations. They could come up with any sort of backstory, as long as they ran it by Keith prior to the start of the roleplay. Oddly enough, they had no difficulties creating their characters.
That was two years ago. Keith has consistently led them through countless journeys as a mysterious seer named K, and the original cast has remained strong – with the exception of Arthur, whose character was coincidentally killed off right before his abrupt departure from the group a year ago. No one knows why he stopped coming online. But they've been content with the remaining eight of them, and have continued roleplaying despite their decreased numbers.
Which brings us to now.
Your character goes to bed the night prior to the start of the storybook, expecting to wake up in it the next morning. Instead, they wake up as their character on the cold, muddy ground. Keith is nowhere to be found. While his absence is distressing, what is even more distressing is the fact that he was the only one of the roleplayers who fully understood Aeyis. Without him, they only have their stories to go off of.
And there's the troubling battle occurring only feet away.
