Discussion topic for The Time Games! Claim your desired historical figure quickly (assuming you're interested) or someone else may steal it from you!

I have two questions:

For swearing, you allow words like f-bombs?

And is Cleopatra evil?

Perhaps I'd like to claim Cleopatra if she isn't evil. Or maybe Pasteur. But I haven't decided yet :)

Aww, I really wanted to be Bloody Mary, too.
Also: how historical is historical? Can I be a biblical character, or... am I just going to have to stick with Martin Luther?

Spoiler! :
I don't even know what I'm doing here. I've never done a storybook before

@PrincessInk I would prefer to stay from major swears. You can use them, I guess, but seriously limited. I was thinking of minor swears like damn and crap. Also, I won't count Cleopatra as evil, so she's fair game.

@pkidchick first time for everything! Once again, preferences. I would like to avoid religious figures because to the people who don't practice that religion, they won't be considered famous.

Oh I like this :3

Evil is relative. I'm thinking Rasputin, probably at an age before most of the stuff he's known for. (And before anyone who does so now could reasonably consider him evil) That works?

@PrincessInk (and Sheyren and everyone) -- generally f-bombs aren't allowed in SBs, because the posts show up on the front page. If the SB is rated properly, though, other smaller curses are allowed :]

Re: religious figures, they can be known/famous to people who don't practice the religion! Big figures who did game changing stuff, at least. But a)I'd suggest treading carefully and with respect, and b)maybe not figures from religious texts , seeing as one person's definite truth can be another's fiction, and that kind of argument can sure ruin an SB?
Sorry, just wanted to weigh in on those things. Stepping off now, and back to claiming my spot :mrgreen:

Would I be able to reveal that a person like King Arther or Sherlock Holmes is, in fact real for the purposes of having them participate in the Time Games?

@Sheyren, I actually--no offense to anyone--dislike these major swear words. It's simply that I wanted to make sure those stuff won't come up if I join. I don't want to join SBs that include some of the most profane cursing.

@ChildOfNowhere, thank you a lot for clarifying.

And I haven't decided between Cleopatra and Pasteur(young)....*sighs*

@ChildofNowhere - exactly! (what you said about all that religious figures stuff) I think, just to be safe, I'll stick with Martin Luther. Even though he was a religious figure to some, where would the Reformation be without the guy?

@SarukaTheHuman Burr is fair game.

@Feltrix for historical purposes, I'd prefer only real people from the past.

@PrincessInk got it, no worries.

I'm excited for the character idea I came up with! I want to be King Tut, because I can really make him my own character. My main trouble with a character is I wanted him/her to be historically accurate, so I had to figure out their personality. With Tutankhamen, he died young enough that there weren't really historical accounts of his personality, so I can make him my own!
