Greetings. I am interested in joining but I have a few questions. Going off just the photos of each major territory there seems to be a large difference in the technology of the territory. (Such as Myar seems to have electricity, and Brythalon seems to have a more renaissance look and feel to it with less electronics) So what period are we really in? I had an idea of adding a smithing character to the Kirkiln area but if that won't fit with the time period then I will look into a different character.
Excellent question, first off! I wouldn't give too much weight to those pictures, as they're not amazing depictions of the lands. Every major city in this land has some form of electricity, based off of Hextech technology. Think of this as a form of steampunk, but early in its transition. Hextech is a coveted artform, and thus highly competitive and secretive among those who can create it. Brythalon has the best use of Hextech, and therefore the most technology capabilities. However, their infrastructure has been around for a long, long time, so their cities, especially the capitol, looks very behind on technology. Don't worry, it only looks old. Myar has electricity, but rarely. Their cities look frantic and rushed. The only place that is light on Hextech machinery is Dressuin, because their technology are in the form of airships, while the land they live on is barely desecrated compared to everywhere else.
I think a smith would definitely be well suited for this world, but maybe set your eyes on a steampunk version of one. I hope I answered this well enough, but if it's confusing please tell me!
No that gives me a very good depiction of the world. Saying that we are leaning more toward steampunk/hextech is a good means of telling me what this world is like. A smithy would be very useful in creating the components needed for proper application of the technology.
Also, a note for everyone that has begun the CT, I added a "Bending" spot to it. I forgot about putting the magic part in it when I first created it D:
Next thing on the list is to look for a good time and day to do some character/plot building. So, please tell me your timezone and the times you'll be free let's say next weekend?
Some things to think about until the workshop: -where your character came from -their family and relations -why they would be a on a huge airship traveling the skies at this moment
