In short: her homunculi could respond accordingly to emotional stimulus, as trained by the Mage's Guild.

I'd imagine so. Also, she does have pretty good control of her homunculi now, so that helps.

I imagine in the end the King would defend her with all these facts, and his word has the most value in council. The Magicians could present all these facts to him before the meeting, and he could present them to council.
