I am aware of that, and again I am not asking about bringing a mythological character into a fairy tale. I'm asking about the events with the arm. Having a character injured to the point that he seeks magical means of repairing what is broken.
@XxXTheSwordsmanXxX What do you mean, what I think? I mean I don't mind if you write about something similar happening to your character. I think it does sound sort of similar to a Grimm story I read, Bearskin I think. The devil came to him and said that he must wear a Bearskin for like 7 years or something and he will be the richest person alive. So you can write your story of having like a witch or some mythical being giving your character something. But most everything in Grimm stories come with a price. Fairytales tell lessons, after all. Does that answer your question? (btw I'm not mobile so I might have some typos)
It was if you were alright with something like that happening to the character. And the thing I have in mind does bring a price with it. I just didn't want to overstep my bounds because I was using the event based on a mythology and not a fairy tale is all.
Hey, guys! Sorry for the wait, I'll start the SB in 2 days. I'm a bit busy right now and I'll be busy tomorrow too. But I'll try to write it on Wednesday. Again sorry.
Hey everyone. I just wanted to bring this up with the writers so that they can have it influence their characters however they see fit.
Gobban, the young naive smith, is labelled a "Whore's son" meaning that his mother got pregnant will not being married. The story of his birth is not quite that simple but I will leave that up to the characters to find out more. Anyway, in the time period that we are looking at, being pregnant while not married is a shameful offense and the mother is labelled a whore and Gobban a whore's son. He will not have a very good social standing and many people will likely treat him like dirt.
If your character isn't like that, then that is fine. I just wanted everyone to know about Gobban's particular social status.
I love Koku. He is damn cute and should be the main character and not some lazy old man that supposedly genius but a sucker in his own life. Koku is Koku. Koku is CUTE. ~ B-The Beginning (A Netflix Anime.)
Okay so it's been awhile since anyone has posted or written anything and a lot of y'all haven't written yet. I just wanted to remind everyone. I'm still very new to SBs so I'm not completely sure how they do down. I thought a reminder would be good, though.
sorry i disappeared for a while,, life's been mean *grr*, anyhoot~ i'll be writing a post somewhat soon, so expect that.
You are like a blacksmith's hammer, you always forge people's happiness until the coal heating up the forge turns to ash. Then you just refuel it and start over. -Persistence (2015)
You have so much potential and love bursting in you. -Omnom
“Can a magician kill a man by magic?” Lord Wellington asked Strange.
Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. “I suppose a magician might,” he admitted, “but a gentleman never could.” — Susanna Clarke, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
