Okay, I think I'm going to join this thing. I'm tired and sleepy and also probably not thinking all that well, so I'll read through everything in detail tomorrow, but I'm still picking the Mage, and maybe they'll be either the Lancer or the Brains? Anyone else can claim the lancer, at least. And also, do you want me to write a post every week? In that case, that'll be a little challenging, but I'll see what I can do.

Nah, just want there to be a post every week with folks helping out as needed so it's not a burden on one person. Teamwork makes the dream work.

I'll tentatively claim Heart, though I may offer it up again once I've had a chance to look at my work schedule on Monday.

To everyone coming in --> All PCs in the story will be elven in Valon's band for simplicity. We'll encounter other races outwards once we begin. Valon's profile is up, so for the details that I added that are specific to him, feel free to make your own to flesh out more of the elven world itself and diversify the people, especially how each of the clans look and act, how they're brought up, etc.

My activity might still be spotty at best, but hopefully my studies will die down enough so that I can risk joining another SB. For now, I'll tentatively reserve Lancer. (If this is about learning, playing an unfamiliar role should be fun.)

@yakitsa --> Lancer is still tentatively open since @AstralHunter has yet to fill the spot. But Love The Idiot can be more Snark Knight or Snarkasm, Might Makes Me Right, or Glorious Bastard if you wanna play the trope as a round.

This is a totally witty excuse for why I forgot about this SB and you'll all be smirking for the rest of the week because of it. (Shh, just play along.)

Three new base spells have been added to Tier 1 to accommodate the nature of Astrid. More may be added for Ziafar, and even more still for vendors and boss drops.

Verdant Light - A minor healing spell based on the sacrificing of nearby flora to deliver a twofold heal unto an ally. Foremost, the ally will be healed for 5% of their health every three seconds for 15 seconds. Second, their bodies will be shielded with the energy of the nearby flora, giving a soft shield, negating small amounts of damage for a short time.

Blood Fever - A damage-over-time spell with no set duration (meaning it expires when the enemy dies). Damage begins low and slowly ramps up as the fight wages on due to fatigue on the enemy.

Malady - Lowers the enemy’s attack power and attack speed by a moderate amount for a moderate amount of time. Improved versions of this spell also lower defenses, but the knowledge seems lost to you...

In addition, all spells are color-coded to indicate their role as Damage, Status, Interrupts, Healing, or Crowd Control. If a spell does multiple things, it'll show as such.

@Rydia and @TheSilverFox --> Please lemme know what your two base spell choices are for level 1 so I can add them to the spellbook aaaand everyone will have access to the knowledge.

I like the concept of our crew choosing their quests based on the spells they feel they need to remember, yeah? Like Astrid feels on the edge of a resurrection spell but can't quite get it and then a quest for a haunted manor that I may already have the dungeon card for (cough) shows up...

I've decided to make Valon a full-on fire mage.

I suppose that, if Ziafar is going to be an arcanist, I may as well choose the Sigil of the Arcanist and Defense Word, since those both seem to imply the use of arcane energy (and they're awesome, so I don't have any regrets there. XD)
