Haha, Tort, your first post is just as cringy as ours! XD (I'm summarising again, if anybody was wondering why I'd say that.)

Pff, of course it is XD I actually re-read it recently, to fix my formatting - and also curiosity. I'll do that for the others, but yeah, it was cringy. I'm one of those people who don't mind their past works though, so, eh, I find it cute :3

True! It also helps that I didn't have a clearly formed idea of either of them before I started writing. And I've already been changing my plans for a long time. I swear, at least half of the stuff in my earliest posts was eventually retconned. XD

XD Yeah, I see the problem. In my case I was detestably blatant with my references and the likes, so luckily there's not much I need to retcon - I just have a base that's too solid to modify without a properly drastic change. Which, of course, is going to happen by the end of this arc, but yeah. Oh and don't worry - at least you USED Volcanion; I focused so much on Hoopa that I legit forgot I was supposed to use Celebi as my Guardian, lol. She's a Psychic, so, I could've used that to keep a link like Cresselia did with Zulu. I'll have to have her appear at some point for them to interact.

Except, uh, Volcanion isn't really Aegeas's guardian. It's more of an informal mentor/adviser/puppetmaster. It probably could be his guardian, but it's not very reliable. The actual guardian has appeared...once with Aegeas? At the start of my writing? XD

I know he's not, he's more like a chaotic neutral... thing.
...But then we have the same problem, so, nevermind XD

...I wonder what it would be like if Volcanion and Hoopa were to meet? They contrast significantly in personality and goals (at this point, Volcanion is distantly based on l'universelle aragne, so it's manipulative and doesn't much like threats to its power). It seems like their meeting would be interesting, or creepy, or both.

That google search on La Grande Araignée, since L'universelle Aragne is old French that translates to that, was interesting. Way to go, Louis IX!
Well, except they wouldn't meet unless Volcanion somehow decided to threaten the New Order and they'd decide to send Hoopa to deal with it - which, when out of Unbound form, is doable, but eh, he's not resilient enough to tackle him. Volcanion, in this SB, is like Blackbeard: prefers ruse over strenght, but you don't like him when he actually does use strenght. And nah, prolly not as creepy as it could be, since Volcanion is... fairly sane, especially compared to this SB's incarnation of Hoopa.
*Chuckle* Hoopa's too busy playing with Latias to care, anyway :3

Yeah, the article said the title was an older version of French. I've always loved the title (and the other one I remember, which was The Spider King) - I'd probably steal it if I had anything to attach it to.
Volcanion is primarily self-interested, so there's always a chance it could support one or both sides if they bribed it enough (one big enough to justify its not being reclusive, which is why it isn't really attached to either side). And it can be formidable when it wants to be, though. It's usually just too busy lording over its subjects.
And yes, Hoopa's having his fun, so he probably won't be in the mood to do much else for a while.

Yup! I do enjoy the expression as well, especially the Universal part. Dude had a massive information network, 'twas unreal.
Ah, right. Point taken. *chuckle* A fun take on the 'mon.
No, Hoopa will be, just not for Volcanion. Among the bonus posts I need to right is another Hoopa one, though nothing too important.

Me? Press the like button? If I can't remember to like actual posts how do you expect me to like the stuff in the dt?

EDIT: So, it embeds, but it doesn't play yet. Does it play for anybody else?

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy. — Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
