One of the things that I was wondering is does my character have to be a jedi/Sith or can they be just a normal soldier?

Your character can be a soldier, mine's not really anything at the moment so...

@rebelpilot Exactly as Kelpies put it. Your character can be pretty much anything you want him/her to be, as long as they fit into the character description format that Europa provides in the fist page of the SB. You can copy paste that format and create your character within that framework to submit for approval.
