Are we creating a new version of the story, or do we have to follow the history/show?

Nope, make it your own, as long as you stick to the rules in the beginning post and try to at least follow the basic rules of society and adapt it to daily life, you're good. For example, you wouldn't have a servant disrespecting their "betters" and getting away with it or a Queen dressing herself, etc.

@Skydreamer Glad you're excited!

You all should start claimed characters if you want, I'm going to wait to claim a character because I don't want to take Mary if someone wants it or Catherine or a lady in waiting etc. I want to make sure everyone gets the one they want and then I'll fill in. You may have a maximum of two characters, though I ask if you have two you make it a guy and a girl so the genders are somewhat balanced.

Oh my God, if it isn't obvious already by my dp I love Reign (actually loved would be the more appropriate word as I've kinda stopped watching), anyway, I'd love to join this if that's ok!

Could I have Mary if no-one else has claimed her yet?

@*coco you'll see who people have claimed in the "Create a character" sidebar on the page of the storybook. fill out the template I provided and it looks like no one has claimed her, so yes. I'm going to just fill in and claim characters as time goes on to see which roles have yet to be filled like the more crucial roles. Queen Catherine, Henry, etc.

Ok, great. I'll start working on a profile. Is it ok if I use show Mary? Adelaide Kane is just perfect, I can't think picture anyone else.

I am going to claim a lady to Queen Mary (AKA a trusted friend and advisor.)
I am thinking of going with Lola in the show, but I might switch her up a bit.

And then I think I want another woman at court, a new character.

The rules say if you want two characters you should do a man and a woman, not two women. @Skydreamer

Oh okay.. Hmm. I'll go for a man in court then as my second character.

Stop asking if you can write parts, this will be done like a traditional storybook. Just go claim a character.

I ask that until we have more people claiming characters, you do not post. The first post should be about Mary Queen of Scots going to French court, from that do what you wish.
