And here's the Discussion Thread for Life on the Line.

The plot goes as follows.

After auditions are set for the 2014-2015 Marching Knights Drumline at Gildridge High School, we begin our story a week before Band Camp 2k14, known as Drum Camp. Also referred to commonly as Hell Week. This is where most of the drama happens. Flings, old flames, family problems, health issues, and - most importantly - music happens. Drum Camp sets the tone for the rest of Band Camp for the entire drumline. And Band Camp sets the tone for the entire Band.
Competitions are held at the last three Saturdays in October. The drumline's bickering and instability place their Line at 7th place out of the 13 drumlines competing at their first competition. They get their act together and get 3rd place overall at their 2nd competition, and win the Crowd Favorite award. After getting a taste of victory, they want to achieve 1st place in their last competition, break the highest record score for overall percussion - of whom their rival school's drumline owns - and win Crowd Favorite again. Their last regular football game is against their rival school, and their drumline attempts to sabotage RHS's equipment in order for their score to quickly drop at competition.

Gildridge has an alternative modified block system that works in Monday, Wednesday, Friday (MWF), Tuesday and Thursday (TR), or All Year (A). Band is always 6th period.
1. 8 AM - 9:30 AM (MWF/TR)
2. 9:40 AM - 11:15 (MWF/TR)
3. 11:25 AM - 12:10 PM (A)
4. 12:20 PM - 1:05 PM (A)
5. 1:15 PM - 2:30 PM (MWF/TR)
6. 2:40 PM - 3:30 PM (A)

The dresscode is relatively lax, but the few rules they do have aren't followed too well by some of the student population. Academics are a little above average, but nothing too notable. Sports are the highlight of the school, and recently the music and drama department have gained much interest and support from the community, student body, faculty, and staff in recent years.
