Everyone's profile is great! I think we're going to have a really fun time.
Since there will be a lot of different elements to the plot of this storybook, I'd like to hold a plotting session in the next few days. Hopefully this will be a time when most of us around, but we'll figure it out.
It's working okay for me, but it took me forever to figure out how to wrap the text so the box doesn't run into other boxes. You have to click "wrap text," it's a button at the top next to the "insert link" button. I think that might be one of the problems people are having.

Alright - while everyone's in the process of filling out the character chart, a few things we have to think about.
We've just arrived in Brazil at the campsite in the midst of the amazon rainforest. Each actor has their own individual trailer (sans the bathroom, there's a central port a potty for that.
There's a wooden bench table in the center to hang out and eat. Jason's trailer is a ways away, and he doesn't allow anyone to go inside.
The crew is nowhere to be seen. Jason explains that he wanted time alone with the actors and didn't want the crew to be distracting, so he put them up in a hotel in the nearest town. (Note: Jason doesn't intend for anything to happen to the crew, and they remain completely unaware of his plans). You think that this is strange, but don't question it.
There'll be a day or two to get acclimated, after which filming will start. Jason will be doing this to reaffirm your trust, but then the walls will start to crack. There won't really be any contact with the outside world unless Jason wants you to, which he'll blame on poor reception. The first day of filming, you'll be asked to perform a ten mile hike in the blistering heat without food or water for real.
Likely there will be a failed escape attempt. It might be neat if they run into an abandoned jeep that some park rangers left behind and try to drive it off.
Thoughts/ideas/questions? I'm curious to see what you all think. Talk to your fellow story bookers and hopefully we can begin to forge some relationships. We also need to decide whose character is the one that is supposed to survive. I'm leaning towards Alicia, but if anyone can make a strong case for their character I'm open to suggestions. It'll make things interesting for the dynamic.

Something to consider is that even though the crew won't be there at first, they absolutely have to come in once the filming starts because I'm pretty sure it's impossible to Jason to do it by himself, and obviously the actors have to be acting. Perhaps the crew are paid off? Or maybe he's planning on disposing of the crew afterwards. Thoughts?

Of course. The crew are being put up in a hotel and are being paid off so they don't do anything to help. Jason doesn't want to hurt them, but it's likely that someone in the crew will speak up and Jason will have them killed and made an example of (both to the cast, and the rest of the crew)

Okay, then that would just mean that the other characters would figure out that something's up as soon as he tries to start filming without a crew. That would work, I think.

I'd like to hold a plotting session with everyone/almost everyone since it might be difficult to schedule. Is everyone generally going to be around this weekend?
