Keeping it simple, is what we need
In a world of words, lies and dreams
Simplicity is a sanctuary
No complex meanings
wedged from the cracks of humans' flaws
by a crowbar of self-love and hope
Simplicity is what nature runs on
A never-ending world of the pure
A forever planet of existence
just breathe and keep it simple
homework, love, friendships and pain
it becomes easier if you take it easy
and realise that you don't owe the world anything
just a little favour-
a small request
just keep that heart beating
and those eyes twinkling,
when there are no stars left to shine
You are one of those stars, a meteorite
and even when you don't know it
you create fireworks and explosions
even if you're running low on diesel
there's plenty of love to go around

#2 Warning-slightly gruesome

Spoiler! :

Taste my blood
Sweet to your sour deeds
Roses fall and their petals wither
Frail,
when spring was meant to bring new life
instead, we bleed out the old,
decayed,
dreams.
Taunting us with their happy lies
will we be compensated?
Our bodies are only skin deep
We are like clothes,
hung out to dry and the cracks,
the creases,
do you see it too?
the scars
where you slit us in half,
like lambs to the slaughter.
Still, we rise
dead,
and skeletons to the dust.
Particles and atoms carried along with the winds
our sails half high in reluctant pride,
the hand retracting from the prisms of the sky.
Take my hand,
look into my eyes
all you can see,
is life

Dreams stole away the sanctuary of sleep
Clottered my closed eyes with the images,
Fears and worries, taunting my line of sight
Only my closed eyelids are things that I can see
Yet I dream of a whole world
Things that have not and will not be,
Scavenge my brain for fear to feed
Murders and monsters
Shadows that change into half-witted beings
Venom to the innocence of imagination
And I arise, relieved to be back in my own Earth,
But knowing that I could never share those paining visions of death and despair,
The world of dreams, belongs to you alone.

#4. Warning: talks about failed pregnancies

Barren, the clock holds no more currency
against this empty body.
The inching handle,
Moving towards the birth of death,
is displaced in the sounds of victory.
Broken, her bones are still ever-expanding
A heartbeat that will never pound outside
the remains of her memory.
She sheds the future and the present with tears,
as the stillborn takes its last breaths
that was never theirs.
The promises of happiness-
A piece of her sent to heaven
She does not own this empty vessel,
lifeless in her hands,
This is not her child.
The blood thats spills can be compensated,
but the spirit that has been taken before its first sigh,
will never be diminished.
If only she could see a sharp glint of an eye,
The hand wrapped around her finger,
Then perhaps she could forgive herself
for her insufficiency.
The perfect mother a child never had-
How much she would have cared for it,
her love still grows and succeeds,
Death comes not with justice,
but penalty.

Beep, beep, beep
My alarm buzzes and I lift my heavy eyes up from slumber
They drop, and I think to myself:
Has morning already been delivered?
I groan and fumble around for my phone,
Chaotically ringing
I grab it, pull it beside me and dismiss the alarm,
Only to be welcomed by some math questions.
Frugally tapping random answers,
I managed to pass and I lie in great awakening,
Wasting time scrolling through my apps
It's easier that way,
Because then when I roll out of bed,
I have been prepared,
And I am fresh-faced
Well, nearly

#6 War

Sweet summer's knives,
waver in the sun
Glimmers like the ocean
Sharp- the bird's shrill song

Kisses of a bullet,
pulse swelling
A gap in their flesh,
blood like sweat

Frozen laughters, hung in the air
Icy shivers brush past as they cry,
the tears that were never meant to drip,
Drip,
Drip,
from their bloodshot eyes

Sheath intact,
weapon remains silent and tall,
Embedded in the depths of their pocket,
so small like the broken face in a locket

Sorrow, the Earth sings
Love, the willows dream,
as they wave their arms in the wind,
branches too long to be seen
The flakes of soil embedded in the cracks of our skin
we continue, harps as soft as voices,
as cruel as birds we sing
of lavender's scent,
which we can never hear,
or taste.
I am used to toxic gas,
that was love's cruel betrayal
those stainless lakes wind in a world that is not our own
our reflections shimmer in a place that is apart from ours.
The trees listen, and the caves shudder
Secrets and gravestones, litter our cupboards
Skeletons, are our bones

#8 Anger and rebellion

Burning out, a wildfire of sparks
listening to the crackle of leaves...
burning, so swift the flame grew out
of its body, shedding its strength for almighty authority
I bowed to the logs
decomposing,
the hand of domestic nature
tamed to the demise of
raw...
feeling.

I drank to the health of those whom I loved
wine of blood
the flames and the sparks only grew,
but to me, it was a campfire of hope
A tiny
boom, against the woods
and I let it catch me in its grip
its claws, my fists
And I wore them in my knuckles,
those flames...
devoured me
that rage
that hate
that anger
so sweet
relief, in the violence
the forests decimated and the animals silent
against my little campfire...
so tiny, I wept, and my lungs breathed out...
and in
hope
for us to share

But I had to make sure,
I didn't kill those who loved me
and the forest that we live together in...
our world and mother nature
was the thing that I had to protect...
and treasure

#9

Aimless wanderings,
around the room
Dazed and spaced out,
from the classroom talk
Pupils dart, from child to child
searching the scene for something different:
files of people,
living.
Organised in my mind,
I observe the boldness of breathing;
aimless wanderings.

Droning, on and on
Words of her tongue, lips
that move and slide up and down,
facts and dates, times and years
droning, on and on
they keep on speaking
with only their mouth

Restless fidgeting
arms set aside and then moved
over to the next table
fingers that play with the pencil,
thousands of doodles scritched scratched on my page
a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a
restless fidgeting,
sketches across my work,
...
disapproving
faces that glower
eyebrows raised
Shame for laughing
for playing
for talking.
a hush,
in the grim silence.
A hint of a giggle,
Disapproving,
disturbing

Carelessness and freedom
Children, happy
unfinished work set aside
joy is first priority.
Chaotic ramblings of glee
the smirk, as you try your hardest
as to not appear to be seen.
Bow your head down,
smuggle the freshness of smiles,
avert your attention
so as to avoid detection
carelessness and freedom
is what we will be
and no laws or rules can restrain
that youth. Robots are not
the material of students

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.
