Nature, an egg
With smiling eyes and thin lips,
Straight teeth proudly sticking their
Chest in the wind,
Nostrils flapping in the wind whistling
The ancient royal marches.

Hands, bound together
Into one, uniform string
Coiling on the
Curly beard, the eternal dance
Completed in the shape of an egg.

Howling voices in the wind
Wailing their long lost youth.
Furiously bite the wooden
Crossroad sign.

The pebble path splits up
Three roads emerging out of it
The first one is blue, second is pink
And the third is black

The blue path takes you to the moon
The majestic queen of the night
Looks at you with disdain
"Puny mortal, know your place!"

The pink road leads into a forest
Of cotton candy leaves and chocolate trees
On the lemonade river, ginger bread are catching
Jelly fishes

The third one ends in a graveyard
Mossy tombstones laugh subtly
One open tomb later you realise
The meaning of life.

25 cards
25 characters
United under the most ruthless faction
Cooperate in their own
Twisted way.

First is Viy
With its hundreds of legs
Crawls on the board, gets eaten
Comes back stronger

The unseen elder
Who laughs at the despair
Of bleeding victims
Joins the party

Detlaff, sad, agonizing
Summons a blood moon
Slowly and methodically
Kills the enemies one by one

The others? Minions not worth mentioning
Dominated by instinct and hate
Support their leaders
By destroying each other
-----------------------------

wishes from the underworld
said the underdog
wishes from the underground
we sang in a
cute choir song

we asked them
did they like the song
like the birdlings love
the worm their mother gives them
they said yes.

Fear
Anxiety creeps in
The fear of a deadline
Scratching my heart
Pulling my hair

today was
a day made of seconds
and thirds and fourths
had my bonsai tree treated
its limp branch
happily ever after

the coca cola can i named jeff
showed me its clean teeth
singing the
sugary songs.

i hate his smile
his cockiness
jeff for the love of god
behave yourself

Best regards to you
mortal soul, passing my gate
enter the blue horizon
walk on the infinite paths
sticking your toes in the
silk of the universe

join me in my honorable place
to oversee the earthlings
living their simple lives
away from the
worries of immortality

here, you are not bound by
mortal rules that define human
species. Hunger, thirst, love, hate, wrath, sloth
treason and pain
none is present in the
realm above

distance is an ilusion
time is a mirage
the only music you can hear
is the cries of dying stars

fighting
on the antithesis board
the king's orders
backfire

brave white pawns die one by one
the black plague nicknamed the queen
bites their
small heads off

the queen reaches the
white king's room where
she seals any exit
ready to give the
last blow.

Hiya Buranko! I love the imagery in all of these poems <3
"One open tomb later you realise/ The meaning of life." is a lovely and ironic couple of lines.

"the coca cola can i named jeff" is such a fun and unexpected personification, and the irony of the can having clean teeth while being full of sugar is so interesting.

The image of a queen in chess 'biting' the heads of pawns off is also a really striking take on the game.

You're doing great with these!

hey Buranko!! I don't have the mental capacity to leave a long and in-depth comment on your thread today (my brain is just "!?!?!?!!!" right now xD), but still wanted to drop by to say I'm super enjoying all the poems you've got here! and wanted to point out a couple of places that really stood out to me as I was perusing c:

The pink road leads into a forest
Of cotton candy leaves and chocolate trees
On the lemonade river, ginger bread are catching
Jelly fishes
WOW this is such a cute sweet stanza, I really like the idea of "cotton candy leaves" and a "lemonade river" -- and the pun of "jelly" fishes !! :D (sound devices in this stanza are great too, some awesome slant rhymes with "leads", "leaves" and "trees" c:)

the only music you can hear
is the cries of dying stars
aaaah just need to say I adore these two lines, such a gorgeous and tragic image to end a poem on <3 also love the assonance in the phrase "cries of dying" ^^

keep up the great work this NaPo!!
When you're faced with something you don't understand, I think the most natural thing but also least interesting thing you can be is afraid.

Straighten up my bones
Cool down my boiling blood
Seal my nostrils and mouth
Set my sight gazing forward
Cut the thread of my years
And finally
Put me on a tall place
To serve as bird and moss support

Bugs Bunny inserted his
fingers into my nutella jar
I cried and told my mother
Bugs Bunny smiled
and gave me a carrot
I cried harder and told my mother
my mother grabbed the carrot
and put it on our
old dusty shelf

it is still there
the carrot, dry, sickly pale
my mother is old, sickly pale
Bugs Bunny is old as well

I saw a kid with a Nutella jar
my fingers, filled with salt from
the chips I was eating went straight
into his nutella jar
he cried and told his mother.
