Hello all. Welcome to my poetry thread for #NaPo. Here, I will be posting all the poetry I write during the month of April. It will be fun!! I plan to write at least 30 poems during the month
Ooh Colour of life is such a positive lovely poem! The colourful text and the rhyming scheme match the theme of the poem really nicely, it adds to the bright upbeat feeling c: I especially like the lines "How to turn yourself / Into a colourful shape" and "a song of bee". Keep up the good work! <3
When you're faced with something you don't understand, I think the most natural thing but also least interesting thing you can be is afraid.
It is what it is You try extremely hard To change each and everything But, you can't
Let me be myself I am tired of being the replica Of someone who is not me ‘Follow him– follow her’ NO, I want to follow myself
I want to follow my dreams My heart is my guide You can't change it You can't make me Follow all those people
Can you tell me Why were they popular? They did something unprecedented I don't want to be famous But I want to follow my guide And do something Which can satisfy me at least
I don't want to satisfy any other person But they want me to Follow each and every word of them Even if they make me die Even if they pierce my heart.
But, don't worry They will not be able to succeed It is what it is They will not be able to change me Until my heart allows.
Hey NaPo buddy!! You've got a couple more great poems here! c:
It is what it is is definitely a very relatable poem for a lot of people! Everyone experiences getting told what to do or how to behave at some point in their life, and it can definitely feel frustrating <3 I think my favourite lines from this one are "Let me be myself / I am tired of being the replica / Of someone who is not me" !
And Autobiography of a metal lock has such a cool background! I love how rusty and crumbling it looks, but also like it's been there forever and will be there forever if that makes any sense haha c: The lines "When men hit me with rocks, / Still I bear the pain..." portray the loyalty and determination of the lock really well!
Keep up the good work Forever!

I really like the last poem, I like how it's kind of emotional but at the same time a metal lock saying this is hilarious. I wonder, how you came to write such a unique poem.
The poem- It is what it is - is very very ture and ofcouarse everyone can relate with it. It has such great emotions, you got me in the feels.
And on the pedestal these words appear:/'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings;/Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'/Nothing beside remains. — Percy Bysshe Shelley
