In the dark You shiver with fear Do not worry For I am here I will watch you forever more Though I have passed My ghost lives on My last words to you A special goodbye I promised to stand watch And so I do But soon I must leave Goodbye, adieu I hope to see you soon
You wanted to play at 5 When I got on you said goodbye I don't understand Is it me, you can't stand? Fueled by anger Fueled by fear You leave me here Saying we don't click You call me a prick Why? Just reply Don't leave me here Cause I might disappear Lost in the crowd It's time to wear my shroud Cause I'm lost and heartbroken You didn't appreciate my token It was a token of love You threw it away with a shove Now I'm alone on this island But this place is my mind The beasts are my demons You were the seaman You could have saved me But instead you chose to flee Now I'm alone on this island Trapped in my mind These demons are coming To take me alive No matter how loud I scream Nobody will notice Until I break Until I cry Then They call me weak Cause I'm just a freak
Hey Ches -- you've got some interesting rhyme schemes happening here, and the contrasting of line length makes for a captivating read especially with the content!
name: key/string/perks pronouns: she/her/hers and they/them/theirs
novel: the clocktower (camp nano apr 24) poetry: the beauty of the untold (napo 2024)
Hippity hoppity You're not on my property I check the pillows, the tables and chairs The bathroom, the clock and inside the lairs But there are no eggs, no chocolate today No eggs on this Easter Sunday For I am the boy, the bunny forgot I sit here in bed, alone in this spot While others cheer and have a sugar rush I wonder why, but than I remember the bush The bunny has hidden eggs in there before That was way back, back when I was four I rush over, pushing the branches Ready to do my happy little dances But all I see is a pile of dead fruit None of that sweet, gooey loot I supposse it makes sense It just feels so immense But the Easter Bunny's like my friends As they said "everything has an end"
I want to be free everything i do is wrong weighing me down trapped in this bottle there's no escape i scream, i cry no knight in shining armour comes riding in on a white horse
i kick, i yell but to no avail im trapped in this jar but im the one who sealed the lid its my fault my imperfections my faults my losses i want to be saved but to do that i gotta get these weights off my feet
im drowning a speck in this ocean alone in the seas my air is escaping my vision is fading i need an escape boat but im too far from land the end is coming im going to die i know its the end
i am the prosecuted sentenced to hang for failing at life as i look into the eyes of the executioner, the judge and the cop i realize im wrong i thought they were the enemies i made but really they're me for i brought myself to this bitter end i wish i was stronger i could have escaped but now i must face this noose for my failure
this is the end the jury's decided goodbye
my last wish will be i hope that the reader can learn from my death no matter what people say you are perfect though sometimes you fall you must fall to learn to fly though people hate you there will always be haters channel their energy feed on their hate make yourself stronger do what i couldnt goodbye
Branches blowing in the breeze Beneath my feet, sticks and leaves In the distance birds and bees I get down on my dark, tanned knees Basking in the sunlit trees I cry out, do you hear my pleas? I wish to stay here, I wish for the time to freeze In this beautiful forest with the birds and bees
