Poem 16:

She's Been Poisoned

love lost in the pitch black
center of a peach
you think I cannot see
but when the horses go to sea
you will never again find me

when you see the sunlight prying through
the grapevines and you think alright
I'm never never never gonna be on time
that is damn right, damn right
you never were

love lost isn't love found
you wont find anyone to astound
tell me your story
and then throw it away
you think I'm alright, thats not okay

breathe in think of me again
and I'll think of you
we'll see who sails away faster
I'm crying through all the laughter
It'll be me, it'll be me. I'm already so far gone

poison in the air I breathe
you poisoned you poisoned me
I'm already gone, I'm gone
just forget I ever existed
I'm with the horses going to the sea

you will never again find me
buried in the pitch black center of a peach
when you forget our anniversary
dont come to the garden looking for me
I'm-- I'm already gone
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

Poem 17

Here Come the Clowns

circus tent
flowers
little trapeez towers
jugglers juggling
people laughing

here
here come
the clowns
see them
laugh at their faces

circus tent
flowers
little trapeez towers
jugglers juggling
people laughing

oh its
getting faster paced
here
here come
the clowns

they just wanna play a game
come poke at them
say their names
laugh at them
with me

you see them
spinning out of place
here
here come
the clowns

faces contorting
come laugh with
me
dance with
me

here
here
come
the
clowns

tedious towers
trapeez dancers
balancing on
childrens dreams
screams
dreams!

here
here come
the clowns!

Spoiler! :
Imma put this in a spoiler because I don't wanna disrupt your beautiful formatting. <3

I love all your poems! All of them are picturesque and most of them have this super cool formatting. Especially your fifth one - "Coffee" - that's probably one of my top favorites along with "Vampire", "Father To Son I Remember" & "Casting Away".

Keep it up! I'm looking forward to reading more! =)
LadyBug is the best frister ever <3
(everyone please know that LadyBug's the coolest goose you will ever meet)
(this goose blushes too much)
(lol imagine a blushing goose xD <3)

Spoiler! :

MiniGem, you're doing some very interesting things with formatting and I have a soft-spot in my heart for that! <3 Keep it up! Some of my favorites are poem 18, 12, & 13 -

also thought this lines were particularly beautiful
we are lilypads and sunshine
when we see the stars
we sparkle in the moonlight
hiding all our scars

maybe i make up colors for poetic cadence, but i don't think i can ever love someone who doesn't understand that teal is a different color than dark cyan

Poem 20

Because It's Green

What is that slippery citrus smell
dancing on lavender waves
fresh and in the air
like grass
cleanly cut?

Like a willow tree by a stream
like a clover bed
in a midsummers dream.
Cool like water
like a pinebranch
cleanly broken

with a peaceful pop
in the emerald forest
where the smells of
jade are all around
and the squeeze of lime
tickles your nose.

Like wood sorrel
on your tongue from
when you were young,
like the soft sweet
smell of honeysuckles
or the taste of their nectar.

Like the smell
of a freshly plucked
dandelion in
the center of your
daisychain
that was so hard
to get to tie correctly
and will surely break
sooner than later.

It's green
like all the good days
glowing in emerald
supremacy
taking away your breath
so you can inhale
the memory.
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

Poem 21

It's Funny to Think

I watch the
cool feeling on my skin
flow down to my ankles...

I feel the
scars healing
from within
breaking my shackles

and I cry
oh I cry to know
that they are gone..
Tears of joy tackle

all of my inner
vulnerabilities...
Sending those thoughts
into the back of my mind

sending them
so far away
they're beyond time.
You'll never see

them again but
I know I will.
The deep blue
coolness raining
down on me...

It's funny to think
I'm only happy
when it rains
and I only cry
in the shower...

Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

Poem 22

Life Is a Book Read it Correctly

Simple things
are overlooked and

life is just one big book, with
all our stories entertwined.

Life goes on without a care
in this place where

no one bothers to seperate
life's chapters and

sometimes the
writer muddles our

happilly-ever-afters
just to get another page.

But that doesn't mean
we can't start anew

in a blank segment
and not let life's

careless airy ways
fill our hearts with rage

at why things happen
they way they do

the way they happened
to you... And instead

begin to scribble about
what in our stories

we can change
and maybe the writer

will rearrange our chapters
our happilly-ever-afters

and again fill our
hearts with hidden laughter,
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

Just for slight context this entire poem is a metaphor.
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

Poem 24

This Is Me Accepting You

I hate the way stupid careless words caress
your impudent tongue. I hate the way you set
me ablaze, and then tell me that I am the bad
guy. I can't talk to you without hating myself
because of you. And even as you torment me
you ask me why I'm always frowning.

These laugh lines were born of tears. I'm
not allowed to have emotions or shed my fears.
I can only laugh away my pain. Now you call me
crazy. Tell me whose fault is it I laughed at your
funeral is it mine? Tell me who made me cope like
this is it my morals to blame?

Who told a child it was stupid to cry over dead
things. Who told a child to forget about it? Who told
me to stop being such a girl and feeling all these things?
Who told you that I would, I did remember? So in the
future I will laugh at your funeral and bury my tears.
Because it is stupid to cry over dead things
when they are already gone.

I'll cry for you in advance so I can uphold your wishes.
I know I'm weak and stupid, because you told me so, and
I know I love you because I can't stand you anymore. I
love you because you are part of me and my life. I can't
tell my story without you in it. And I can't remember the
bad times without the good.

But I can't seem to remember a time you weren't
screaming. Why did you always scream, that is what
I will always ask even after you are gone. Which you
aren't and I'm glad. because if you were I might keep
my hearing until I'm eighty. No, that was a joke, but I
remember I'm not funny. I'm just an ass who tries to
cover up her pain.

But someday I'd like you to know in my world I'm a
fairy. And a queen. And even when you cussed me
I wouldn't have you beheaded. Just because you're a
living thing. I hate to say this, but it must have came
from her. And even she left. Because you only find the
bad things and try to disprove anything that is said.
Why do you?

And now I feel the tears and they aren't retreating.
Oh no! I'm showing that I'm weak. Oh well no matter,
people already know that because I'm a girl. I know
that's what you think. And guess what that is true I'll
give you that repeat it for you. So that I'm not always
arguing like you think. But I'm not a fragile flower.
I live in a pearly tower.

My lips glossed, my nails painted. Oh how heavenly
acquainted, with the world of beauty and masks. but if
you really want to know what you don't. It's that underneath
it all I could always set you on your ass. I just don't. No it
isn't a lie. It's a buried truth. It's called respect. It's what I do.
So everytime I snap at you and you decide I don't know what it is.
before you go to hate me before you ball up your fist. Remember
how hard it is sometimes for me to resist.

Suming up my life, I'm not unhappy, I don't feel any shame.
I just sometimes wish you were born with a bigger brain. If
you acted like an adult, I probably would not feel the same.
But you act like a child and I can't help but know to you this
is all just a game. So I play along ; I'm really good at house.
I'm the teenage daughter the emo freak with the big mouth.
Except there isn't a word of it true. I just have opinions
that are different from you.

I don't have crazy hair, I don't sleep around, I don't break
the rules, I dont pick your fights, I dont sneak out not even
on friday nights, I dont rip my clothes, I try not to speak out,
I don't fight at school, I dont wear to much make up,
I don't scream along to my rock and roll, I dont do drugs
to fill the hole in my soul.

I sit in my fairy paradise dancing in the sunlight
I listen to the hummingbirds flit as they fly
I take in the sunlight and the big blue sky and
I know you are doing the best you can you weren't
prepared for me. I was never planned. I know I respect
life more because of you. And after all is said and done
I still love you.
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

Poem 25

Power Outage

the wind sounds like
a thirsty wolf
its blowing things away outside
it just bent a tree
oh no my signal!

This was written before my power went out.
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.

I love it! Short but sweet. I especially like how you say "thirsty wolf" instead of "starving/hungry wolf", since we're used to hearing that. It's a unique twist on a phrase, just enough to make it interesting but still familiar. <3

Poem 26

Swallowing Fire

you bite the fire
to taste the flames
of an unbroken heart
because after all
this time you've forgotten
the taste of a love that is pure

and you are a vampire
thirsting for the blood
of an unbroken heart
but you dont realize
you dont need anyone else
when you can fix your own
<3
Respect is felt and lack of respect is also felt. If we all would respect eachother then the world would be better.
