I've been keeping another unrelated poetry thread going this year and last themed on heat, the sun, vibrance, violence, high-energy etc., so for NaPo I wanted to choose a very different and more lowkey theme haha

The poems in this thread will be based on/inspired by memories of my life, which feels a little challenging; I'm hoping to create enough distance in the poems so that others can relate to them while still expressing the personal nature of the memories ~

ALSO hoping to play with poem structure more this year! c:

All this said, I probably won't be prioritising my own thread too much this NaPo for life/time reasons, but if I get a few poems out I'll be happy

Ah, this last part of your second poem is so heavy and laden with meaning and possibility. I love it! Keep writing Coffs! Your NaPo is going good so far!
