I really enjoyed listening to that first one especially - and that pair of "you're the winter sun that burns my skin" & "you're the summer breeze that chills the air" was a really smart parallel - I liked that!

I could not get the link for song 2 to work. Though I'm enjoying your word choice/phrasing for both of those last two. Looking forward to reading & hearing more of your pieces.

he had a grand life but spent most of it crying

The tinkerer tinkered and twisted and toiled
and all the boy found was that his tears where now oiled

The herbalist tried to make it grow with fertiliser
and the boy continued crying and crying none the wiser

the alchemist tried to turn it to gold
but a heart made of metal will always be cold

the mancer tried magic to bring it to life
but peculiar rituals just brought him more strife

until he said, go! now leave me alone
I wish to grow old and die on my own

the tinkerer, herbalist, alchemist, and mancer
all got up, and what was left, was a little girl dancer

She said I don't want to change you, I wouldn't know what it takes
Just let me dance to your heart and the sound that it makes

It's okay if you cry too much, or that you've so many scars
I think that you're perfect just the way that you are
