9. rosa arvensis

you swooped in like a big
bat with wings of white onto
my blank loading page, led by
an orange-yellow head like that
crayola crayon that i never used.

i wonder if you ever feel too much
of anything, too on both sides of the
color wheel you couldn't stop from
spinning around & around your head,
not belonging in a specific spoke.

maybe that's why i left that crayon
in the box, since it's easier to go to
a clear shade of yellow or orange
rather than that combo that was too
in the middle i didn't understand.

your full swooping petals must lure
in a multitude of insects through
your golden stamen, only to be
driven away back into the wind
to spread your kind of joy.

I am continuing to enjoy so many of these snippets and poems fraey.

This latest one in particular made me smile! Love the little color commentary in there of course.

And this especially:

i wonder if you ever feel too much
of anything, too on both sides of the
color wheel you couldn't stop from
spinning around & around your head,
not belonging in a specific spoke.

^^ Ah! Pure poetry.

Your poems continue to impress me in their thematic variety, yet stylistic consistency.
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

10. bidens torta

you're known as being simply
sweet, in your hidden away
place you wrote as home in
the leaves you shed as a
young sapling, growing slowly
as your yellow petals spread.

off the wall of planthood comes
a calling for you, if someone
ripping off your flowers as a
scientific form of they-love-me,
they-love-me-not you can help
a person who you've never seen.

endemic in your pattern of
never leaving the islands, there's
a partial pandemic with how you're
picked to produce for those that
may just happen to be the ones that
gaze happily at your golden,
almost-a-honey comb-center.

11. taraxacum officinale (a)

my mother, who's typically
bubbly-like-soda declared war
ready to squat for hours against
these cute dandy little lions that pop
up daily in the somewhat grassy yards.

the flowers, like bursts from sun beams,
shine from their innocent golden tops,
but she wants to yank out their once
fuzzy, delicate stems before they
grow those pesky white seeds.

Spoiler! :
Thanks @Cadi! A couple of these poems I've tried messing with tones and ended up with a few versions XD I love trying to create little images, and "tangerine -" was stuck in my head after seeing the pretty orange flower. Glad you enjoyed it! ^^

12. taraxcum officinale (b)

every time i look upon your
kind-of like a baby's hair
on their head, thin short
wisps of an idea, i can't
help but be amazed by
how many little pops
i can count in one go.

your skinny, tiny seeds
that scatter with a pinch
of wind or a huff from
someone wishing on
yet another tale spun
from past times and folks
clinging to a method
of granting hopes.

13. bellis perennis

you're common, too worn, worn, worn,
in the airy green fields, other flowers already born.

botanists now say, bleed, bleed, bleed,
or let you wither away since you're a wicked weed.

all your petals are white, white, white,
like a thick swarm of fireflies that are turning bright.

children like your gold, gold, gold
center-soul, as close to rich that they'll ever hold.

14. cynara cardunculus var. scolymus

you're among the rare bloom-able
large plants in most gardens,
with a wide, spherical-shaped base.

your hearts are jarred away,
taking up space in my fridge,
while your leaves are yanked off
before your lilac-colored vision
of a flower can cover your naked top.

they like the flesh pieces outside
of your beard-soft-center that you're
worried rough hands will wreck
before you can grow and mature.

all i can hope is that you'll be
unnoticed, free to grow purple flowers
that are your safety signs and inspire
others to hide away and live.

15. phalaenopsis orchid

i wasn't sure whether to feel elated by
a house-flower we could take care of,
or nervous because you're an orchid,
cursed to wither in my shaky hands.

we had bad luck with a pretty pale
purple-pink plant that never bloomed
more than it had before, and simply
faded away and shed all its leaves.

you're light-hearted, quiet-shaded
with a slightly shiny middle dusted with
a sprinkle of red flakes that looks closer
to a light peppering of spice on a near-white
canvas, slight tea-stained tinge in splotches.

i find myself falling for your sweet, slowly
blooming buds, while i let my parents' pierced
words about your pasty colors pass through
an open window to even more flowers i want
to watch grow and cultivate for years to come.

16. vanilla pompona

your swooping, thin & wide
blooms, ready to spread,
slightly fray at the ends
as they grow and age.

your dark, skinny seeds
of utter sweetness is a scent
i'm obsessed with i must admit,

after adding the extract to deserts
and humming along to the beat
a soft aroma brings with it.

your light-green vines wrap
around your soft, lemon-shaded
version of a sweetheart bulb,
and a cradled little plant.

More nice flower poems! I'm a big fan of 13 - repetition makes it almost sing-songy, but the comtent is harsh - which makes for an interesting juxtaposition. I like the contrast and emotion in that one a lot.

Spoiler! :
Thanks @alliyah! I kept rewriting that poem trying to get a sort of tone - one that was a bit dark-ish? Or realistic in a way. I switched around which words I wanted to repeat a lot as well, but I do like the final version! I'm glad you do as well!

17. cymbidium aloifolium

you & your family of face-holding
flower kind never cease to make
me smile, even if it's fleeting like
a rainbow-colored hummingbird.

maybe it's wistful thinking, to
want and hope to one day shine
and stand out just like you do, with
your bold red, white shades
to the slowly graying world.

18. ascocentrum christensonianum

they're sparkled cotton
candy, their petals
spread apart like they're
a mini sweetened dragonfly

they're too cute to not poke
on their tiny red-blush middle,
look like they've got a mouth
widened with wonder.

shining brighter than a june
bug does in strong summer
light, they're enchanting to
a quiet, lone wanderer.

19. billbergia pyramidalis

it's strange that you've got
such a fruity, sugary color
but you're not really blooming,
you're a kind of parasite,
or symbiote growing from
another plant and leeching
off in some way you can.

it's not like i blame you really,
your purple-tipped red sprouts
reach out from whatever small
green plant you found, why
wouldn't you want to stand
out from above the rest, in
whatever way you can.

here's to you, perhaps
named after pyraminds
maybe, because you draw
out straight up and are a
flash of lipstick-stained
colors on a green screen.

20. tillandsia usneoides

it fascinated me to think of how
incorrectly plants can be named,
as i squat by spanish moss,
but it's not moss, in the end, as
it grows buds as its own flowering
form of a light slate-y vine mess
that waves & curls like lifeless hair.

but this not-moss has life, in the
slightly lighter, seed-like ends that
are growing just the same, sending
little waves of hope and to let the
plant spread further off the wall, or
slip towards the dirt ground.

either way, they've got this curious
feeling among their strings of gray
silk, like they're almost fooling
themselves into thinking they're alike
the rest of the shriveled remains of
desert plants from not enough rain.

the difference is that this moss-more-
plant-creature is thriving here.
