Ohh really liked that glass one as well as the poem about clouds. Great language, imagery and metaphor there. :)

there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

Poem 13

Spoiler! :
Don’t Mistake
Don't mistake my kindness
For meekness
Don’t mistake my sweetness
For weakness
I've got a fire inside
That's not likely to die

Poem 14

Spoiler! :
Humanity
We lend out our humanity
Let other creatures and objects
Borrow it for a time
We give them thoughts and ideas
And hopes and wishes
We lend out our humanity
Because we are lonely
And we wish to not be so
But the creatures and objects
They can never bear our humanity
Not long enough to satisfy
And all too soon
We are once again left alone

Poem 15

Spoiler! :
The Past
Our past stays with us
It follows us like a shadow
No matter how we try
To ignore or loose it
Our past is always right there
Waiting and watching
For the moment when it reminds you
It has never left

Poem 16

Spoiler! :
Beyond A Reasonable Doubt
No proof without evidence
Tell me you love me all you want
Feed me sweet nothings
And lull me to sleep on soft words
But it makes no difference
There is no proof without evidence
Prove that you love me
Beyond all reasonable doubt
Give me all the evidence I can handle
Show me that you adore me with all of you
In ways both big and small
Do the dishes on nights I can’t move
Buy me a dozen roses on anniversaries
Or even because you loved my smile today
Prove that you love me every day
So that my suspicious mind
Has no evidence to the contrary

Poem 17

Spoiler! :
Snapshots
Snapshots are all I have left
Moments frozen forever in time
Jokes I can never return to
Laughter I can never recapture
Tears I will never again shed
Only memories kept close
And brought out when I need them
Till they're worn around the edges
And the memories start to fade

Poem 18

Spoiler! :
Celestial
She gathers the stars
And uses them as decoration in her hair
Making her tresses glitter and sparkle

She collects the sunlight
And weaves it into her clothes
Making her resplendent in the dark

She compiles the comets
And adds a twinkle in her eyes
Making her expressions livelier

She assembles the planets
And strings them together
Making her jewelry to keep them close

She is light and life
And I can help but be drawn to her
This celestial girl

#18 paints such a beautiful, glittering picture! I love the imagery of the celestial girl, drawing together an outfit from the skies!
"The fact is, I don't know where my ideas come from. Nor does any writer. The only real answer is to drink way too much coffee and buy yourself a desk that doesn't collapse when you beat your head against it." --Douglas Adams

Poem 19

Spoiler! :
The Riptide Pulls Me Out
The riptide pulls me out
I fight against it with all I have
Pushing back towards the shore
Making the ocean fight me
For every inch I give it

The riptide pulls me out
My body grows weary of fighting
But my mind does not
My brain screams at me to rise
Every time my head slips under

The riptide pulls me out
And I can’t go on for much longer
The shore is so far gone now
I am only surrounded by ocean
As far as my eye can see

The riptide pulls me out
And my lungs fill up with water
Too tired to expel it again
I go limp in the sea’s embrace
And the riptide pulls me out

Poem 20

Spoiler! :
I Can't Help
I can’t help but think
Would you have loved me more
If I was less inclined to think?
To pick apart your flaws
And make your feeling sink

I can’t help but wonder
If my sharp words and tongue
Worked to tear you asunder?
Leaving you defenses to attacks
From a pirate set to plunder

I can’t help but question
If the reason why you left me
Was due to my bouts of aggression?
Or if they were only what was left
Like claw marks leaving their impression

Betrayal
Betrayal leaves a bitter taste
At the back of my throat
That I am only ever reminded of
When I think of you

Poem 22

Spoiler! :
Once There Was A Queen
There once was a lovely queen
And all she did every day was preen
Till a wizard came with a magic bean
That turned all her skin bright green
And the queen turned very mean
So along came a clever teen
Who reset the scene
And washed the queen clean

Poem 23

Spoiler! :
I Warned You Away
I warned you away
Told you to stay back
But you were drawn in
By my warmth
And my bright flame
You got too close
Too comfortable with me
And you forgot
That fire burns

Poem 24

Spoiler! :
I Wish I Could Hold On
I wish I could hold on
To this moment in time
Hold on and just
Pull
To stop the clock
From moving ever forward

I wish I could hold on
To these memories
And these moments
Forever
But soon the will fade
Away to distant hapiness

Poem 25

Spoiler! :
A Moment
It hurts to think that
A moment is all it took
To destroy what we had
A moment of pain
And anger and fear
One moment
And all the moments
We could have had
Vanished like an illusion

— Fredrich Nietzche (Philosopher)
