April 1

She is a remnant
Of the world that spit her out
It was just a dream

April 2

I'm all alone,
but not lonely
It's all desolate,
but I'm not in danger
It is peaceful here,
away from the noise
and the hustle.
Here I am free,
free of the pain of the past,
free from the flaws of my existence
And yet I what it would be like
To feel at home among the noise.

April 3

I've always been bad at titles,
at bringing everything together,
at making it seem whole.
Endings are rarely neat,
and completion is so final.
It's better to let things go on
so that they will always be a part of us
because a story without completion
still has so much possibility ahead of it.

April 4

I'm falling up towards the sky
and to the stars. I'm falling, yet I go further, up and up,
this is the pathway to my dreams, but
they never told me I would fall.
Well, a poet did once, but it has been
a very long time since then.

April 5

I'm walking on a cloud of cotton candy
high above my troubles and my fears.
Music plays from a wooden wind-up box of pink and gold
Everything is quiet, everything is clean,
and everything makes sense. Suddenly, the world below
doesn't seem so scary.

April 6

He is of the night,
doesn't want to know it, for
he fears it greatly.

April 7

Slowly the day breaks,
wearing down the last vestiges of the night
and suddenly everything begins a new.
She was watching as the sun when it set
waiting for her past to fade into
obscurity. Now she is ready
to face the new day.

April 8

The rain pours in endless sheets,
never once wavering, it cloaks its world in a sort of gray,
a mask, a cape, a barrier to moving freely
down the streets. But it's calming too
and the best is the air in its aftermath.

April 9th

Here. Right now,
nothing more than a
passing moment in time.
I am here and so are you.
Here is quiet, here is gentle,
here your troubles are far away.

April 10

The lives of women
do not have to be cursed, for
she is very strong.

April 11th

You have but one life to life,
so live it well; the thoughts of others
need not concern you.
You are strong and brave,
and the only things impossible
are what you tell yourself is so.

April 12

Come with me and we'll go traveling
into another world. To the distant past,
or the far off future or somewhere
only in our memory or imagination.
It's all possible, of course it is,
just see it for yourself.
