We could maybe do the girls dancing scene and getting caught if you want? But also not sure the logistics of how easily they’d be able to get Jer away from her escort? We could just fudge it maybe? Or something else idk)

(I don't think the escort would be willing to leave. That'd have to be at some point in the future, I think. A bit too soon now.
I'm trying to figure out when Tomhas should try to disappear. I know how he's gonna try, but not when a good time would be)

(Oof. Hm. Well are we still going to have the whole Michael thing get out of the bag when she’s drunk? And if so did you want Tomhas to be a part of that? Might make sense for him to be driven to something drastic when he knows he was in the same room as Michael? Or we could do sooner idk that’s just an idea I had offhand just now)

They're gonna go home after Tomhas tries I think. So it makes sense that Tomhas should be part of that as well. Maybe he comes into the room right as they see Michael?)

okay I got bored at work and decided to write the letter lol she would have sent it the day after she learned about everything so you can feel free to answer at any point you’re feeling it lol

Dear Mother,

How are you? And Anneliese and the kids? Please give them my best, unless you think it may upset them that I’ve only written you this time. I’ll try to write them soon but it may not be for a bit, yet.

Lots has continued to happen. Zander returned yesterday and I’m sure Gaius has probably already told you everything so I won’t bore you by repeating the details... Though I guess I’m not really sure why I’m writing this at all, now that I’ve said that. I suppose it’s just a selfish addition on my part — that I wanted to say, I love you.

And nothing about any of this will change that. Ever. Love is more important than blood and nothing can ever change that. You’re the best mother I could have ever hoped for and I care for you immensely. Please know that I mean that with everything that is within me.

Also can’t remember for sure but I expect this is the first time she’s referred to Anneke as ‘Mother’ as a title. Like she may have in reference to her before gone ‘my mother’ or something but I don’t think she would have called her Mother directly iirc I think she was just avoiding addressing the letters entirely and just jumping into the greeting because she couldn’t decide how to start the letter lol

This would also be the first time she signed the letter as Kylia Loquitur rather than Kylia (Ruiarc) Loquitur. Dunno if Anneke would notice that detail especially since I’m not sure anyone actually clued her in to what’s going on like Ky assumes here lol but figured I’d mention it in case, since she seems pretty thoughtful and it may be in character for her to notice.

(I’d be down for that for sure! Could be fun for them to run into… Helge? Viol? Again. I’m sorry I’m drunk rn and can’t remember her name but the lady who yelled at Tomhas. Cause she’s seen both girls so that could be fun. Plus the drummers yes since Them said to. I’d be down for them to make a town trip for sure ^^)

(Aww nice! I went to Arkansas to see my friends from my masters. It’s been absolutely wonderful here too c: )

Jerica was excited to go back to town. For one, she was growing restless of just staying inside all the time. But mostly she was fucking tired of being babysat. And, like, sure, they had guards or whatever accompanying them. But that felt like an escort, not a babysitter. Far more reasonable. Especially since they had some of her guards, too. Not just Ash’s.

Ky was slightly less thrilled about having to spend so much time outside, but Jerica had persuaded her, and she supposed it was nice to get to spend some more time with her sister, despite the cold. She’d been feeling a bit better these days now that she had someone to commiserate with. Not good by any stretch of the imagination. But a bit better.

Akie, Kieran, Rek, and Tadaaki came along, too. But they were all giving the girls some space. For now.

Captain Bay and the two guards who had escorted Ky before were also coming along, as were Sera and Rickard. The couple hung back from the rest of the group, talking softly to one another.

“Are you terrible-terrible or Ky-terrible?”

Ky snorted but blushed even more. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Had she now invented a special way to be even more terrible than average? Gods.

“Like… are you actually bad, or did you just get knocked over by someone who's been fighting since before I was were born like once and decide you’re awful?” She’d figured Ky out pretty quickly.

Ky snorted and blushed yet a deeper shade of crimson. “It’s a lot more than once.”

Jerica glanced at Bay. “So she’s doing pretty good then?”
