Xe started pacing, chewing thoughtfully on the knuckle of their thumb. "If it's impossible to train someone to be perfect, is Dr. Mallory lying about her success rate or is something more going on? We need to get into that facility and meet someone who's actually at the perfect part. Are they any different? How do they measure perfection?"

Alex stopped pacing and faced Sadie. "Is it an experiment, or is it a scam? Are people perfect now, or just greedy like they've always been?"
