The Poetry Shop

Welcome~
Make yourselves at home.

My reviews come in two styles. I can do an analytical review in which I will review your piece as a person writing a review to a literary magazine, or I can do a direct review which is what is traditionally done on YWS.

If you want a traditional review, just put up your work. I'll like it after I'm done so that I can keep track of where I am in my thread.

If you want an analytical review, you have some choices to make. Please answer the questions below and I'll like the post after I'm done with the review.

Do you want me to do a comparison?
-If so, do you want me to compare a few of your own pieces?
-or do you want me to compare your piece with something else?
Do you want a review about your particular poetic devices chosen?
Would you like me to focus on one aspect of the poem?

Between both reviews you can request that I answer certain questions, review based on subject, words, or overall appeal to an audience. Just put this up with your request.

If I missed something in my review, send me a PM, or post on the thread to get my attention.

Thank you.

Could I please have a review on my poem Schedule ~A Mother's Day Poem~?

I'm hoping to be able to revise it and have it done by Sunday, although I'm not sure how possible that is with my busy schedule.

Thanks in advance. Here's the link...

Review? I had warned you.
For I who am poor have only my dreams
I spread my dreams under your feet . . .

. . . tread softly for you tread on my dreams.

Hi Aley. Me again :3 I wondered if you could do a comparison for me between these two poems? They are quite different but both supposed to be about war. I wondered which was best (for a competition)

Dead (Climbing Rhyme)

and

Aren't you afraid of the silence?

Yoúr reviews are so helpful!
