New feature in action: The Sokka Sequential

Just finished with creating a very big addition to the storybooks area; so big in fact that I created a video to showcase all the features in case you care to watch:

I've had somewhat of a cold for the past month, so if I sound nasally, please excuse me!

The video takes you through all the new features, but here's a quick rundown:

Sidebar Area

The sidebar area of storybooks is now almost completely customizable. Storybook managers can add rules there, a summary of the storybook, and you can also see the list of participants if the storybook is closed. Additionally, there's a characters section, and you can place a very large image in the sidebar in case you want to customize it further.

Storybook Managers

The owner of the storybook can now optionally appoint other people to help him/her with running the storybook. A manager can do anything the owner can do, except add and remove other managers.

Character Pages

Participants of the storybook can add pages for their characters, which are linked to via the sidebar. If the storybook is open, anyone can potentially add a storybook page. But to prevent mischief, each character page must be approved by a storybook manager before others can see it.

Open vs. closed

If you make your storybook closed, it really is closed: only people approved by a storybook manager can post in it (of course, this doesn't apply to moderators!).

When your storybook is closed, you can choose to allow people to request to join. When someone requests to join, you'll see their name pop up in the participants section of the storybook with the words "approve" and "deny" next to them.

All storybooks start with a default of open. To save time, if you switch from open to closed, anyone who has previously posted is automatically added as an approved poster. Of course, you can remove people if you like.

Overall

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does with this. Have fun!

Very interesting, helps maximize the space given so that they first two or three pages of a storybook isn't just profiles or people talking.

There was a very big bug related to this, and my apologies to all those who ran into this and banged their heads against a wall in frustration! The bug turned all storybooks to closed, regardless of whether they were actually closed. It's fixed now, but just let me know if you run into further issues!

It's great to see this in action, @Nate! And I must say, it looks even better in the reality than it did in words - thank you.

This is awesome! Now can I just ask if just anyone can make a storybook?

Anyone can make a storybook. ;) What are you waiting for?

^^ Looks like my delay on posting my first SB was a good thing >> But this has an annoying complex tinge to it.
