So, I've been reading YWS stuff for a while, and I joined, but I sorta like the old format better. I liked the feature where you could talk on user's walls. But if it's better, I guess I can live with it.

Welcome to the site Nitro :)

All the old features will be back. In fact, you might want to take the time to look over this topic:
Welcome to Apollo! Nothing works...

There's a timeline provided there of when stuff should be back, including commenting on profiles:

By mid-January: Advanced profiles will return, meaning comments on profiles will be back. At this time, blogs will also return, but as part of profiles.

The timeline is only an estimate so profiles may be back before mid-January or maybe not even until much later in the month. For example, blogs are already back despite my saying earlier that they would not be back until mid-January.

Nitro, that's all coming back.Maybe not looking exactly like that, Nate says it's going to be a little more advanced, but it'll be back. You just have to be patient :)

I can't wait to begin posting and reviewing again! Hopefully by the time exams are over and I have the time, the site will have most of it's features :D
Awesome job by the way, Nate!

The new literary works area is almost done. I'm putting the finishing touches on the submission system now, and then that leaves just a few touches to the reading and reviewing areas.

The main areas still to be completed are the literary works index area and the integration of the points system. Neither shouldn't take very long though, so it should all be done by sometime on Wednesday (US east coast time).

It is going to be extremely different though. Just as one example, you'll be able to classify a work as Science-Fiction Spiritual Poetry. Also, you can reply to reviews without your reply counting as a review, and comments are separated from the work itself (well, maybe). Moreover, comments will all be displayed on one page rather than separating them into different pages. On the other hand, works will be automatically paginated. That is, long works will be separated into pages of about 500 words each, which I think makes for easier reading. But, there will be an option to display the work all on one page.

At any rate, it's going to be different. Very, very different. But, it should be much easier to navigate, to review, and to read.

That's it. I'm done with deadlines...

A number of things came up this week; the biggest of which is that me and a couple of other people are starting our own small business. It's nothing special, but we managed to snag a huge contract so it's kind of exciting. Unfortunately, it's taken up all my time.

That said, you all really need to start yelling at me or something. I mean, come on! Tell me to work harder and get this new literary works area finished, and then get profiles done as well.

YELL AT ME. I'm not even joking.

THAT WOULD BE DESIRABLE. ALSO, THIS TEXT IS REALLY SMALL. IF YOU CAN READ THIS, YOU DON'T NEED GLASSES.

NATE: For every hour the Literary Works area is not complete, someone kicks a kitten. You must rectify this.
