I just submitted a photo, and it worked fine. Is yours a very large file size? If you save it in Photoshop or another editing program you can choose to 'save for internet' which, I think, reduces the file size. Other than that I don't know, sorry!

I also encountered that problem. Nate told me to email it directly to him. So I did. I'm not sure if he got it, but well yeah...

Quick question, I just realized my story has some drug content, is that still okay? (just want to make sure)

Hope ->> It's probably fine. We have yet to disqualify a work based on content, and if it does cross the boundary, we'll work with you to make as few modifications as possible to get it on the right side of the boundary. But again, we've never disqualified anything because of content.

Everyone ->> So far, we have 162 entries. So if you wish to rise above the noise, following these tips from Snoink will help:

I got two questions. One: after submitting, I received a number that says I can use it to track the status of my work. How do I do this? Two: I've submitted two items, a short story and a poem, but when I submitted the poem, I didn't realize it at the time, but I had submitted it in Trebuchet instead of Ariel. It's still in 12 point font, but I was wondering if the fact that it's in a different sans will affect it too much. The short story I made sure to submit properly typed, though, so no worries about it.

jash: Not sure if you can edit entries so I'll let Nate answer that one...

WalkinDude: The status tracker isn't set up yet, but currently no entries have been reviewed or chosen. That process will start officially at the close of the entering deadline. I don't think the font will be an issue.

Then I just found an embarrassing mistake in my manuscript. Can I resend? HAHAHA... Oh well... life.

I submitted mine ages ago.. well on the night of Jan 31 but thats irrelevent.

I got the code thingy and as its my first time to actually submit I think I deleted by an accident.
Does this mean I will never know if I got in or not? I know it tracks your progress but is that like meaning,
I got in or I didn't?
Or does Nate just PM us the results.

I'm so confused :S

Don't worry kakagirl, you'll know if you get in because you'll have to sign a contract to say your story/poem hasn't been published before.

The system has not been set up as far as the rest of us know. :) Patience.

Keep in mind that no final decisions will be made for some time as the editors need to read and consider all the entries. I'm sure Nate wll have the tracking system set up by the time the editors are ready to start selecting pieces.
