This sounds great! Is TeenInk.com considered "published"?

It depends. Did it appear in their magazine? If you provide a link, I can give you a better answer.

If you check the link in the original post then you'll see that you can submit one poem, one short story and one piece of artwork/photography. However, only one of those at most are likely to be accepted. :)

Hi Nate :)

Just for the people who can't help themselves regarding any sort of word count limit (ie, me), what are the maximum lengths of each literary piece? Like, max 20 lines to a poem, etc.

And with photography in mind, perhaps a pixel size maximum? Or is that not something submitters have to worry about?

Cheers,
Jai

HOLY MACKEREL...this is epic! I just wrote the first part of my short story. *nods* Now, I have a question--is there a word count limit for a short story?

P.S. Is a horror short that shows humanity's true obliviousness, with a vampire thrown in for fun (since it is partly humor--black humor), okay? I imagine it is. But blood is mentioned. And there may be mild violence (trying to decide how to kill the vampire thing-y--I mean, it has to involve a stake, probably, which leads to complications since I wanted to either use a stainless steel table or figurine).
P.P.S. Did the above make you want to pull your hair out? I must know such things. Since, well, I know a lot of people don't get my sense of humor...I get a lot of blank stares...
P.P.P.S. I wasn't supposed to ask that, was I?

Eh.
My SPD senses are tingling.
