Crisis and Safety Resource List

If you or a friend is ever going through a crisis, it can be a very good idea to check in with someone you trust in real life (like a parent, sibling, counselor, therapist, doctor, police officer, teacher, clergy-person, or advisor). Sometimes, in addition or in the absence of someone in real life, online resources or hotlines can be helpful.

Each hotline is different, some are regionally specific, some allow you to get in contact with someone anonymously. If you find yourself in a crisis or mental-health need please get in contact with someone if it is safe for you to do so.

DISCLAIMER: The list below has not been screened by any medical or legal professionals, so please do your own research, this is only a starting list that might be helpful if a need arises. The following lists and information should not be taken as medical or legal advice. The following is also not necessarally endorsed by YWS, but is provided for your convenience and reference.

I say Wolf, for all wolves are not of the same sort; there is one kind with an amenable disposition – neither noisy, nor hateful, nor angry, but tame, obliging and gentle, following the young maids in the streets, even into their homes. Alas! Who does not know that these gentle wolves are of all such creatures the most dangerous!
