What is a Mentor's Role?

The basic role of a mentor is to form a relationship with the new members of YWS and to help them navigate and get used to the site. A mentor looks after a new member for one month and in that time answers any questions they have, reviews their work, advises them on how to navigate the site and is generally friendly and helpful. A mentor's primary task is to be a friendly face amongst the many strangers.

How do I become a Mentor?

Simply contact Kitty15 and let her know you're interested in joining.

Is there any Criteria for becomming a Mentor?

Yes and no. At the moment I am accepting anyone who knows their way around YWS and is friendly and willing to help out. This may change in time but the primary criteria has always been a friendly attitude and willingness to help new members.
