What are your favourite boy/girl names?

Here is where you can share all sorts of names and the reasons why you love/hate them so much with other users. You can post as many names as you want.

This will also be helpful for people who don't have names for their story characters because they can find names they like and see which ones are most popular. These people can also ask other users to give them name suggestions.

These names can be as weird as Rumpelstiltskin or as simple and Mary or John. And they don't only have to be first names! You can post middle names, surnames, pet names, nicknames and any other type of name you like!

I know that we already have a Name Central, but that is a very broad topic and doesn't really consist of names in particular.

I can't wait to see all the different names! :D

My favourite boy name would have to be Afton. I really don't know why I like this name so much. I heard it in a song once and immediately fell in love with it. I reckon it would suit a guy with a sensitive and gentle personality.

One of my good friends said that if she ever had kids she would name a boy Xavier and a girl Bethany (or Beth). Coincidentally, not long after she told me this she started reading this book called Halo by Alexandra Adornetto and the main characters name's were Xavier and Bethany.

Honestly I've never really liked the name Beth, though I'm starting to warm to it. I've never liked it because when I was littler I watched this Polly Pocket movie and the mean, bitchy girl in the movie was named Beth.

I love the names Grove and Jacqueline. Grove sounds extremely masculine and a bit sketchy when it comes to mind, but Jacqueline kind of balances that out with a more elegant, gentle sound.

That's similar to why I find the name Angelica disgusting - because of Angelica from Rugrats being a manipulative bitch.
hor·ren·dous
adjective: shockingly dreadful; horrible
synonyms: appalling, frightful, hideous

That's ironic seeing that Angelica means angel haha xD It's so weird how we learn to hate or love names just from a certain person's personality.

There are way too many; off the top of my head, I like the word 'Naatya' as a name.
Pronounced Naa-tt(as in a hard, strong t)-yaa.

It means dance, but I really love how it sounds.

A name I tend to frequently use for characters is Liesl. Again, because it sounds nice! I do end up changing to suit the character's history later on.

One of my favourite girl names is Diana. Boy names are difficult. I like Charlie. And Alex.

Names...okay, so I have a lot. My two favorite girl named are Celestia and Amelia (nicknamed Mia) I also really like other A names. Ariana, Ariel, Athena, and more!! By far my favorite boy's name is Andrew, and that's partly because it's my daddy's middle name, snd my youth pastor's name, and his son's, but mainly just because I love that name.
Keep Writing!
