Displayed below are descriptions of the various warrior classes of the Scions of Might, A valiant band of zealots who are dedicated to the purging of the terrible forces which plague their system, but first and foremost their home. The world of Alleron.

Alleron is the 9th planet in its system and enjoys perfect proximity to its lucid, violet sun of ever changing form. Life thrives here as it bathes in prosperity but not only this; it is positioned in perfect alignment to the central segmentum of the aetheriel planes, a void in space where other forms of existence occur as well as being a means for inter-planetary travel. In metaphor, it could be described as a glimmering tree which unites the planets in real space, however, many conflicts are fought to wrest control of vital junctions throughout the planes, thus creating the need for heroic individuals as the Scions of Might...

Blademaster
- The Blademasters of the Scions of Might are among the most heroic, skilled and seasoned warriors in our strife ridden age. From all dark corners of the earth they arise as children of war to the defence of their homes, with honour and courage, before they find their way to our granite fort's which are strategically scattered around the lands. Their craft is death and they use their swords as if they were living extensions of themselves. To stand against a Blademaster of the scions is to invite demise.

Titan
- The Titans of Galridden are a truly fearsome sight to behold. They stride through the lands with crushing steps seeking battles of epic proportion, the instinct to prove their strength to other titans set in cold stone. Their stature exceeds the height of ten men. Ten times that amount and much more, regularly flee in the face of their earth-shaking tread. Only the most courageous and skilled could ever hope to give them a worthy challenge.

Blackwind
- The Blackwind stealth adept is fabled to have sway over the shadows. When sun has set, the dark is their day. With keen eyes they pierce the night as if it were lit by a thousand torches. Their skill with dagger and knife is unrivalled and with these weapons they bring down many times their number under nature's spell of invisibility. Few warriors dare to venture out alone in the dead of night if it is known that disciples of the Blackwind are nearby. 'A dagger at dusk is worth a thousand swords at dawn' is their motto.

Godhammer
- These warriors are known affectionately as 'Hammers of God' by the populous of settlements ravaged by the two awesomely powerful creatures known as the 'Echieons’ and the ‘Valom’. Godhammers are fearless warriors of legend and hunt down these dire beasts wherever they appear. Some fight them and fall to their unearthly strength and sorceries but the ones who stand their ground and destroy these foes become heroes and champions of their chosen land. Such hunters as these are often knighted by the order of Greldior, which is without a shimmer of doubt, the highest honour a warrior can attain and is given by those who have earned their place on the Greldan council through their own many selfless deeds.

Herbweaver
- Natures human manifestation. The Elorian Herbweavers hail from calm lands, quiet vales, high crags and hidden lands. With great difficulty these master inventors are found and they are usually sought after for their mastery of plants and sway with all of nature’s gifts. Some decide to join the Scions' cause and usually appear at our many forts in times of battle and woe, where their unique knowledge can help cure the wounded of the black times of war.

Quest Hunter
- Vagrants and rouges most call them. The Quest Hunter seeks glory in the far plains. The far plains is a part of the world which constantly shifts between our world and the Elderland and here can be found great treasures, the hidden towns of the elderfolk, and many other curious things and beings which are not to be found in the world of mortals. When the Quest Hunter finds a worthy task to pursue, they endeavour to complete it for the sake of curiosity, the promise of riches or in most cases, the hand of a fair maiden of the elderkin...

Gold Seeker
- These driven individuals more than make up for their average combat ability by hoarding gold, jewels and other valuable commodities for our vast, city-wide vaults through way of battle or trade. Without the Gold Seeker, our warriors would not have the benefit of the famous Ionian battle temples where they hone their aptitude for wielding our holy weapons. The treasures from our vaults pay for the build cost and maintenance of our mighty structures.

Artisan
- The Artisans of our empire are the foundation on which its glorious history and deeds are known. They embroider our armour and weapons, they adorn our great food halls with victory banners and cockatrice pelt, and above all, they make sure that no deed of a mighty Scion is left untold. They are the means of which our fight against evil is known and without them, we would have significantly less warriors finding their way here to continue our legend.

What is the 'Elderland' and who are the 'Elderkin'?

The elderkin are ancient and almost mythical beings that inhabit a realm rarely trodden by humankind. They exist in the elderland and satiate their needs by absorbing eachothers dreams. The life essence they share with eachother is a limitless resource so long as they can dream new dreams. For this reason, they welcome travelers who wonder into their secret domain with new tales to tell from the lands beyond.

Who are the gods that are worshipped at the Ionian battle temples?

The scions constantly train their skills within the battle temples under the ever enduring eye of the warrior god 'Ionian'. they aspire towards the perfection of their fighting abilities, which may one day decide the very fate of their kind.

Long ago, when man was merely the life essence that intertwined with the worlds early form, Epic wars between the gods and their respective deciples shook the foundations of the galaxy. Divine blood soaked the stars and snuffed them out, and for a time, the very progression of life was halted by the unimaginable forces emitted from these holy beings. The creators of all.

Wow, this was very detailed. Your descriptions were really good. Just from that introduction, readers got a good idea of the setting and of course the classes. One question though, are the classes ordered in most important to least important or random order? :|

Overall: Your descriptions were very meticulous and detailed, however there are still a few things I feel you left unanswered. Like what is the 'Elderland' and who is the 'elderkin' ? You mentioned the Gold Seekers and how they are important for the benefit of the Ionian battle temples. Whom are the gods they worship that the temples belong to. Also what role do women play in the Scion society, Do they sit at home sewing, cleaning, cooking, and raising children,or they allowed to fight along side the men? Other than that, good job, and I hope I helped. Send me a P.M. if you need another review or if you have any questions or comments. Good luck with your writing~ bluewaterlily :)

Hi there :) thanks for the review! I will proceed to answer your questions...

As this is a work in progress, I have only put the core ideas down rather than attend to intricacies like hierarchy. As it stands now, I have no imagining that there is an order of rank for the individual classes. However, there are ranks 'within' the classes which represent an individuals achievements and level of expertise.

Quest Hunter - Vagrants and rouges most call them. The Quest Hunter seeks glory in the far plains. I will not jump the gun and start telling the story of the various gods in full, but I thought your interest deserved at least a small explination :)

Okay, so we have talked about the Elderkin, their home, the Ionian battle temples and the gods....Now I will answer your question on the Goldseekers and the role women play in Alleron's society.

The Goldseekers are master merchants when they are not fighting in the many conflicts spread out accross the segmentium. Their job is to use the wealth they accumilate, to further their holy cause through the means of trading and funding expeditions to find powerful artifacts lost during the time of the gods. These artifacts, lost by the demi-gods, are used as potent weapons of war. When new technologies occur, the Goldseekers make a point of attaining them as quickly as possible for distribution throughout the order. When not in use, these holy weapons of worship are stored within the huge vaults of the Ionian battle temples, or carried upon the scions' person.

In the world of Alleron, a womans life essence is just as strong as a mans where the projection of energies are concerned, but obviously men possess greater physical strength. This is why the majority of the female warrior adepts tend to become Goldseekers, Blackwind stealth adepts or Quest hunters after their initial training during the 'trials of passage'.

So there you go!

You have urged me to put to writing, what lingered in my mind for maybe too long, so I thank you for that and hope you and everyone else enjoys this glimpse into the world of Alleron and the Scions of might.
