Hey, I have a character I need some help naming. She's somewhat the stereotypical girl pretending to be a boy and is a medieval squire, and I'm having trouble finding a very medieval female name that can easily be reshaped into a boy's name. Like: Brianna/Brian, Christine/Christopher, Kylene/Kyle (though those are out for reasons I really can't explain).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

You could also look for a name generator and then make your own deviation to go whichever way. Like if you foud a really good boy name, you could make a feminine version. Good luck.

babynames.com

They have a lot of unisex names that can go either way, and since they have all kinds of ethnic names, you can add a little originality to your story. :D

If you wanna get fun and have names that mean something...

try behindthename.com.

You could even look up Old English Names there.

Hope this helps,
