Angel of Death says...

23. Taking the Road (music edition)

So, I decided to screw everything that I believed in. When I write, I write for fun and not necessarily just to finish something. Though I would like to finish a book, I like experimenting with all my characters. Also, I decided to stop telling myself I'm not a good writer and can't write. I'm going to start believing that yes I can actually write something and I can write better than some people. Because though I don't post anything but what is in my blog, though it's full of description at least I have characters that people can relate to and you have to really read my work to understand that. So without farther ado, here's Taking the Road the playlist for Road to Eden.

1. Bracelets by The Spill Canvas (Theme Song)

In this dream that I had....
"You can't kill heroes"-that's what we said to them
"You can't kill us"

This song is actually good for any battle or rising action in the story because of what the song is about. I can hear Addison and Mercutio saying this to the Government. Good song.

2. Making a Memory by Plain White T's

Friday night's such a beautiful night
Where you going?
I didn't mean to blow it
You're upset and I don't know what I said
But I'm sorry
Don't you give up on me?

3. Ricochet by Shiny Toy Guns

I hit the bullseye
Making all the boys cry
I hit the main line
Breaking through the night sky

Like a bullet, meant to be shot
You're the target
Dead on the spot
When I focus, I never miss
It starts with a kiss

I love this song and I think that it would be a good theme song for one of my characters, Josie. She's like the conceited flirt who doesn't really have a side.

4. A Beautiful Lie by 30 Seconds To Mars

It's a beautiful lie
It's a perfect denial
Such a beautiful lie to believe in
So beautiful, beautiful lie makes me

It's time to forget about the past
To wash away what happened last (happened last)
Hide behind an empty face
Don't ask too much, just say
'Cause this is just a game

This is what Addison realizes after a while and then she wants to desperately find the truth. She's tired of being someone she's not.

5. Lullaby by The Spill Canvas

It's those pills that you don't need to take,
medicating perfection, now that's a mistake.
I know that you're spent, just let me sing you to sleep.
It's your finger and how I'm wrapped around it.
It's your grace and how it keeps me grounded.
I know that you're weak, just let me sing you to sleep.

This song is perfect for Mercutio when he starts to soften up. It's like he's singing this to Addison. It's perfect, when I get around to writing the story, you'll understand.

(There's more to come...)
True love, in all it’s celestial charm, and
star-crossed ways, only exist in a writer’s
mind, for humans have not yet learned
how to manifest it.
