Neon exit signs. The only way out, is through. Rhys Hartman just has to do so without losing teeth.

--

Rhys Hartman is forced to face himself and his addictions after the startling death of his mother. Moving in with his estranged brother in the aftermath of a messy funeral, Rhys struggles in therapy, with his drug use, and the ugly truth of his mother and the history of who they both are.

A story of wounds and healing, of addiction and sobriety, of grace and forgiveness for the sake of yourself, and pouring one out to a new era, cigarettes in the winter time, a broken clock, shattered noses and fractured wrists, barfights and teeth flying, a raw, ugly truth:

THAT NEON EXIT SIGN

The only way out, is through.

For in everything it is no easy task to find the middle ... anyone can get angry—that is easy—or give or spend money; but to do this to the right person, to the right extent, at the right time, with the right motive, and in the right way, that is not for everyone, nor is it easy; wherefore goodness is both rare and laudable and noble.
