LUNAR'S PLACE FOR NOVEL PLANNING

I have seen a couple people posting their ideas and and novels here so I thought I would the same thing. In here I will be planning out my novels and work on worldbuilding. I have been currently writing all my ideas in a journal that I keep with me, but that is getting a little hard to do. By having this, I will be able to keep everything organized and it will just be much simpler.

ABOUT:

Spoiler! :
ABOUT:
The story is based in a dystopian world (Endura) where the planet has been at war for over a decade. The main character (name undecided) disguised herself as a man after her family was killed in one of the wars and she was left to die and be an orphan.

She struggles to take care of herself, and seeking revenge she enlists in the army. 1 year later, everyone still believes she is a man, and she has become one of the best sharpshooters around, and gets promoted to a colonel. During one of their missions over the border into enemy territory, they get ambushed by a troop triple their size.

Their troop faces major losses and she eventually gets shot once in the abdomen. But not before she is able to save the majority of her troop by rigging a bomb to go off, buying her troop the time they need to flee, but wounding herself even father.

She dies, and then wakes up in a magical world (The Rift). It is called this because she is neither dead nor alive at this moment, she is in the Rift. The dimension that divides living and death.

There she has to complete 3 tasks for a mysterious man, and if she does these things he will give her the way back to the living. If she does not do these tasks she will be stuck in the Rift until she completes them. And if she completes them she will have the chance to go to heaven or finish living her life.

Each task tests a different part of her, mind, heart, and soul. She wants to go back, because she will not have here vengeance until everyone on the opposing side is either dead, surrendered, or rotting in jail. Here tasks very from, fighting to the death in an arena with wolves and other people, to doing something as simple as telling the truth.

For her third and finale task it is something that can not be done in the magical world (No name yet.) She has to tell the truth. She has to come clean about her whole life, that she is not a man. But doing this will cost her everything, because she will no longer to exact her revenge. She had fought, lied, and suffered all this time just so she could see it to the end.

Right before the man (No name yet) sends her back to the living world, he tells her one more thing. She needs to stop holding on o the past, and let go. She had faced so much, and it was time to stop fighting and suffering for what happened years ago.

He sends her back to the living with this in mind. She wakes back up in the same place/spot where she died because no troops were able to get back there to take the bodies back to base. She gets up and travels for a day or 2 back to base. When she gets there everyone is shocked to see her, and she calls a meeting to address an important matter.

WORLD BUILDING:

Spoiler! :
The story is based in a war ridden country. War has been going on there for over a decade, and over time the war zone has expanded as more people join the fight and their allies come to help them fight. Many people have lost their lives in this war, including (the main character's) family.

The war is not only a fight for territory, but also a fight for revenge. After (the main character's) family was murdered and everyone in her village slaughtered, she had nothing left. That's why she joined the army, so she could avenge her family and village. The only problem is, women are not allowed to fight because it is not proper in their culture. The women are supposed to do the chores and run the house, stuck in a life confined to what their parents allow.

When you are poor and live in a small village, the only thing you value then is other people's opinions because you do not want to disgrace your family when everyone knows everyone. And if you do you will be shamed for life. But there is no one alive to stop her from joining the army except herself and others if they find out.

The Story is based is a dystopian world, but it still shares some of the aspects of Earth from back then. The roles of men and women are similar to what is was back then, like what could and could not do. And the planet (Endura) is divided into different nations. Each nation has its own culture and beliefs. The used to be one huge nation, but then a war broke out over something (No one remembers what it was about), and then the planet broke apart and split into different nations. (Like Pangea before it broke apart into 7 pieces.)

THE RIFT:

Spoiler! :
The reason that the once huge nation broke apart is because when the Rift was formed it broke apart the nation. The Rift was formed to give some people a second chance in life. It was to give mortals a second chance to fix the world that they have destroyed. The kind of people who were chosen to change the world in a good way and make it better. Those people have been chosen at birth, but some of them end up going down a different path in life, so few of them end up doing anything good in life.

Only the people possessing a good heart and soul can make it back reborn. To do this you have to pass 3 challenges. One of mind, one of heart, and one of soul. If you pass all of these challenges you can go back to the mortal world, if you can't you can either stay in The Rift forever or continue to heaven.

Only a few people have ever passed this test and it is different for each, the person that administers these tests have been watching you your whole life. You could kind of call a guardian. They decide if your are worthy enough to even take the tests and be given a second chance at life, or if you will go straight to heaven.

THE NATIONS OF ENDURA:
Spoiler! :
Esmerida (Emerald) = This nation is more focused in peace and agriculture. This nation got its name because of the green grass that spans most of the nation and for its rich soil. They are a peaceful nation and do not believe in war, so they are neutral. They live very simplistic lives and are very religious people so you it can be easy to offend them, but all long as you apologize everything will be ok. They believe in a higher power, and that it has plans for them and will take care of them. They worship it 3 times a day at every meal and leave offerings for it because they believe that it put them on it's land so they would farm the land for it. They believe that this god gave them a purpose. They have no military or army, so the other nations generally leave them alone because they pose no threat.

THE HISTORY OF ENDURA

Spoiler! :
Back in the beginning when Endura had first come into creation, a unified nation under one rule. Everything was peaceful, people called this time period The Golden Age of Endura. This time period lasted for a while (3-5 years) before people started to realize that they really didn't have any sort of government or rule, or any sort of laws.

Before many people realized this, one man tried to rise to power. His name was (unnamed). The people wanted someone to govern them, and they thought (unnamed) would be a good person to lead them. Little did they know that he would do just the opposite of that. When he took power he made inforced unfair laws on people on the working class. Doing this created an even bigger divide between high and low class. Using this separation and harsh laws he kept the working class from fighting back.

This period of oppression was called to different things depending on what class you were in. To the working class who were being overworked and not paid enough called this The Period of Oppression. The rich who were wealthy since the beginning and helped found it still thought of this time as The Golden Age of Endura. Because of the divide between the two classes, not many people know about how overworked the working class was. If they did they chose to ignore this fact because they liked how their lives were.

This Period of Oppression went on for about 35 years before the working class decided to fight back. At this point (unnamed) had been in power for about 35 years and was now 65 years old, he was ready to retire, and let his son because the next ruler of Endura. Over those 35 years that (unnamed) ruled he had went from being a temporary leader to ruler of Endura through manipulation and. During the ceremony they created for the transition of power from father to son, the working class had decided to attack.

Over these 35 years of oppression the working class had banded together and had become a unified front. They also had more numbers compared to the wealthy class. Over the last couple years they had been preparing for this and decided to attack (unnamed) when the nation was at its weakest. In the years leading up to this attack they created a rebel group called The Endurians, they were people who had suffered so much and they could endure just a little bit more so they could have the freedom they were willing to fight for.

When the day came fro the transition of power from parent to son The Dendurians attacked. They stormed (unnamed) house (palace) where the ceremony was being held and killed (unnamed) only son. In the process they also bombed half of the house (palace) and killed his wife. The only reason (unnamed) was able to escape is because he knew about the rebel attack and planned to use this attack as an example of what happens when you go against him. What he did not know was that that was a diversion, and a small group of rebels snuck in a couple day before the ceremony and where going to kill his son and wife.

After they did that they retreated, and some of the working class went with them. They left (unnamed) to grieve and watch as the once great nation Endura falls apart in front of him. And with almost no people to work and grow food it did. They retreated because they knew that the nation would fall apart by itself and that it would not need anymore help to do just that. They left and created their own place to call home, they called it The Nation of Endure (Endure for short.) They called it this as a constant reminder of all the suffering they had endured under the rule of (unnamed) and that one day he could come and try to take everything from them once again.

But they were now Endurians, and they could endure anything now, because when you know what it's like to have nothing, you are now able to realize when you have something. And the Endurians did have something, they had each other, and they had their freedom. And when the day finally came and (unnamed) attacked them, they were ready. The Endurians had been preparing for this day since they left and found a new home. They grabbed their weapons and marched, meeting their attackers half way on the battlefield, ready for war.
