I need help in hiring the memoir ghostwriter. I tried to write a memoir on my own, but I could not write it in the quality as I am not a professional writer, so I have decided to hire a professional memoir ghostwriter and I have also took quotations from some of the best memoir ghostwriting services providing agency. The problem I am facing is that some of my friends told me that hiring a ghostwriter is a big risk and they will disclose the secrecy of the clients without even letting them know about this. Can someone kindly let me know is it true and whether I should hire a ghostwriter or not?

Ughhh, so this is super complicated, the trick is to be sure of what you're looking for.

I wouldn't say it's a big risk if you're hiring from a legitimate agency (looking up business reviews helps). Hiring from a random freelancer may come with more risks.

I'd recommend always reading the contract thoroughly, and have someone else check it. If you can afford it, have a specialist look over it. Explain to them your concerns so that they can assure you're represented. Ideally you're looking for a confidentiality agreement that covers all bases, and check for any expiry dates or clauses of that agreement.

If hiring from an agency it's good to look up reviews and examples of their work. A well established agency will most likely be experienced in looking out for their clients interests.

An easy way around this is to credit the writer as a co-writer when creating the memoir. Having secondary writers when creating memoirs is not an uncommon thing simply because a lot of people who create memoirs don't have skills in writing, and there's no stigma against it.
We were born to be amazing.
