I wish I spoke a different language. Would it be wrong if I used a translator?

Hi, @CaptainSaltWater.

If you're referring to an online translator, I would highly recommend against it! They aren't known for being accurate, especially for languages whose sentence structure deviates from the original language.

An alternative might be pairing up with another YWSer who is interested in your work and perhaps trying to translate it! That could make for a nice collaboration. :)

That's a great idea @Hannah!

And totally agree about not recommending online translators (like Google's) - all they will do to your work is completely butcher it. The online translators are really only good for getting the gist of a text you don't understand, but they will never be as refined as a human brain.

All of what they have said, @CaptainSaltWater. I find online translators useful only when I forget a certain words or so. Collabs would be a fun project!

This sounds very interesting. My country has 11 official languages (including English), so which one do you want? I also speak and write French and Dutch, so...

Oh, why not!! @Lava, can I submit 12 works? That way I cover each other language I can write, and I'll record myself speaking three of them. Pleease??? (and yes, I know my idea is going to be quite the challenge, but eh...)

@TheWanderingWizard - well I would love to see 12 different languages up on the lit mag - but how about a max of 3 entries per person? I would like for lots of people to submit!
