I saw a book at the bookstore today, and it had such a beautiful cover. And it made me want to create this thread. I want to see people's answer to this question.

What's the most beautiful book cover in your opinion?

Name of book (+Post a pic or a link you want.)

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater :D
I love the raven on it and how it looks all hand-painted and everything. I don't really know what makes it so amazing but it's pretty awesome.
Oh and then there's My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. That ones just a cute picture :)

I was going to make a new thread about this, but I figured that there'd have to be one floating about somewhere on YWS. May as well revive this one.

So, I recently reread Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, and along with the usual emotional anguish that comes with reading this book, it got me thinking about my favourite covers, because CNV's cover (or at least the one on my copy) is simply gorgeous.
Image
What makes this cover a standout for me is the really subtle references to different things in the story. Not going to name them, because spoilers, but in addition to being a beautiful looking cover, which suits the tone of the book fairly nicely (much better than a number of the other versions, although I love the one with the hands), it's also really clever.

The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl by Melissa Keil also has a cover I adore (even if the awards stuff does clog it up a little).
Image
It's cute and quirky and different and suits the story perfectly.

I don't actually own this version of Girl Defective by Simmone Howell, but I love this cover so much and I'm conflicted because I'm attached to my copy but it's so pretty ugh
Image

I'll leave it there for now, lest my post be massive, but I'm going to have a quick scour of my bookshelf and see what other prettiness I I can find...

I really think that the Diviners by Libba Bray is a really cool cover. I wouldn't say it's the 'most beautiful' but I think that it's really pretty and awesome to look at, I really like the style.

I love this one - I have a hardback copy with black-edged pages it's so beautiful:

I also recently read Uprooted, which has an awful US cover from what I've seen, but the UK cover which I have is sooooo gorgeous:

I have a copy of Wuthering Heights at home just like this (the photo's not mine). Plus a bunch of neon green post-it notes sticking out of it because I'm studying it for English lit.

I care more for people on covers than designs -- I feel like it helps me connect more with the main character. That said, I fangirl too much over this book and its prequel, but I don't care. <3

@Pan The Australian (and possibly UK? Not really sure) cover of The Diviners is really stunning - you reminded me. Another favourite of mine, for sure. I was a bit worried that they'd changed it for Lair of Dreams, but it's still super pretty.
