We are writers, are we not?
But what's gonna stop us from reading a good book ay? Ay?

Welcome to the Book Club.
I love you!!!!
I know, I know, we can't all read a book and review it because some of us might not have it...Wayyyyy ahead of ya!
If we all have the same book we will read it and discuss it, but most of the time we will be just talking about books we have read personally.
So we all read a book each and talk about our book and it's propertys. We have one member so far and that's me!!! But everyone's welcome from all walks of life.

In my book club at school we also do some writing activities as well, so we will be doing some of those.

Please fill out this form so I get to know you!
Code: Select all

Favourite reading genre:

Favourite writing genre:
Are you in any other book club:

Love you all and keep writing...and reading!

Ooh, I like the idea of this. Though you probably won't be able to get more recent books, most of the classics are available online, or there are plenty of free novellas on amazon and smashwords for something lighter. I think they'd be good candidates for group reading since they're available for anyone with a computer or e-reader.
We were born to be amazing.

Okay, so I was thinking...before we officially open the Book Club (probably around early March or ten members) we should start by doing some small writing activities, I know you can go over to the forum Writing Activities for that but this is just within the BookClub.
So, we did this at school and it was lots of fun, but I'm not sure how this is going to work on here.
The first person (me) starts a story. It can be about ANYTHING at all. At the end you leave a few lines and then write the last line. Te person below me reads ONLY that bottom line and then continues the story. Try not to read the rest of the story and make your posts quite small.

I'll start.

One day Michael was walking with his friend Andre in the park. Out of no where jumped a man wearing a top hat and tuxedo. He was tall and quite old and lanky. He was bald and had massive blue eyes. He smiled at the boys evilly.
"hello boys, how are we all? Do you like knives?" he said pulling out a short blade.

The boys were so scared by this man they both fainted in sync.

The man dragged them by their feet and tossed them into a nearby rusty old cage. When the boys came to, they realized they were in the back of a red pick up truck. The man hadn't even put forth an effort to conceal the cage.

Then, with a bump, the cage went flying.
Review unto others as you would have others review unto you.

Don't panic!

Also, Shino!

I get carried away sometimes >.>

Spoiler! :
Then, with a bump, the cage went flying.

'No, no, no!' Magin snapped and whacked the boy over the head once more with his stick. 'How can you be so stupid!'

'You're making me nervous!' His scrawny, pale apprentice yelped.

'The cage is there,' Magin mumbled to himself, pacing back and forth, as if the marbles in his mind were slowly pouring out of his ears. 'The cage is there. I put it there. No accidents, no. Not with the cage there. No accidents, no.'

His apprentice shrunk three inches when he tucked is chin down to his chest, glancing up only once to speculate how many precious artefacts he had just shattered.

Lingering in the doorway was the tall, lean shadow standing, with a proud glint in his eyes and a bemused grin across his face.

'Do you doubt my talents so to assume that I cannot handle such a mere task!' He chanted, mocking the words that had been said by his companion just a few days ago.
We were born to be amazing.

She rejected all attempts at staying by his side. Those once loving talents have been forgotten. It's all about his body now. He was dying inside when she exited the waiting room. The tests came through. Her body was cursed.

"But I love you so much," she said. He didn't want to reply. He had been used.

Writing your name can lead to writing sentences. And then the next thing you'll be doing is writing paragraphs, and then books. And then you'll be in as much trouble as I am!

"But I love you so much," she said. He didn't want to reply. He had been used. "How could you use me?" he wanted to say, but he held his tounge. He just stared at her with his unblinking eyes. She stood there shaking ever so softly it was barely noticeable before she turned to run.

He lifted his arm towards her as she disappeared through the door.

He listed his Arms towards her as she walked out of the door. He slumped to the ground and started balling his eyes out. It just simply wasn't fair. Hosnspirits wer uplifted though,

Don't let the Nargles bite.
And don't let a dementor kiss you good night.

It's a charm actually. It keeps away the Nargles- Luna
