Alright. Apparently it's official. I took this test once before, and I got Chuck Palahniuk (he wrote Fight Club...which I've been meaning to read...). I know I submitted an entirely different story this time around, and guess who I got?

Chuck Palahniuk.

Hmm. I posted an excerpt from my Hunting Dog outline, and it said I write like Dan Brown (not quite sure who that is). But my outlines are very different from my actual writing style, so I guess that makes sense...

I pasted 'Happiness of Sadness' (poetry) and I got CHARLES DICKENS!
I read like less than half of one of his books, and I'm happy with the result. (I really need to finish reading that. Might take a while before I decide to, seeing as it's an Ebook on my little brotyhers dinosaur computer) But....yeah. I'm happy with it. (Man I need to read more.)

It seems to consistently give me James Joyce. I ran about 6 pieces of my writing in, got James Joyce 4 times. The other two were J.K. Rowling and George Orwell.

Just for the heck of it, I submitted some song lyrics.

Going Under - Evanescence: Stephen King.

My Lovely Man - Red Hot Chili Peppers: J. D. Salinger.

The Good Life - Three Days Grace: Gertrude Stein.

I submitted the lyrics for Tonight - Seether...and it came back with Margaret Atwood.

Hehehehe. White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane: Lewis Carroll. That song is full of Alice in Wonderland references.

I posted the only short story I have EVER written. I got H.G.Wells. Then I posted one of my poems and I got.... Margaret Atwood. (Who?) So, yeah.

lol H. P. Lovecraft!!! Indeed, I was inspired by him, but did not realize that I began writing like him :D

Wait a sec... I also write like Dan Brown, Lovecraft, Dan Brown, Dan Brown, Dan Brown and Dan Brown. What? Man, I don't even like his style, nor was I reading him much lately.

Wait another sec... Lovecraft writes like Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Shelley, Arthur Clarke, and finally like himself. Na, this is not truly accurate.

Edgar Allan Poe …

(Others were H.G. Wells, Gertrude Stein and Douglas Adams, Cory Doctorow, and Arthur Clarke.)

In other words, it varies. A lot! It's obviously not so accurate as each person has their own style, but it is quite fun to try out.
